EDIT. Yes LIsa we have. Several times. To this number and the WhatsApp Number provided in another review and still nothing has happened. We are continuously told its being ‘expedited’ but no engineer appointment is actually made.

Even your response is atrocious customer service.

Signed up to EdF from another supplier on 13th September for our business electric on a new commercial property.

Today, Almost a month later, we are still waiting for an engineer to come out and connect the meter. The numerous emails back and too from their ‘customer service’ department (and i really use that term loosely) is more than frustrating. It certainly doesn’t feel like anyone at the other end has any knowledge of their own systems, departments or who is responsible for what. But they’ll send you an estimated bill for electricity!!

Despite providing 2 telephone numbers, no one calls to rectify the problem or attempt to understand the problem. Just constant emails back and to. Each time having to re-explain the situation. So many emails in-fact, im convinced ‘Amanda’ is a bot!

Meanwhile a new business is left without the power they need to fully operate. And unable to move to an energy company who can for fill their side of the contract.

AVOID if you value your small business 🙁

My mum used to work here and actually met my dad here (not at this one, she moved to this one in 2007 when they came over to Devon and met my dad in one in London) she left in 2014 tho so I don't really know what to say, but she got to take us to woodlands leisure park and paington zoo once a year from working here so

Have just left edf because of the continued bullying trying to get us to pay by direct debit after having paid quarterly since they took over from sweb. We even had a letter saying they had passed our account over to debt recovery 3 days after paying and 10 days from date of bill. If I could give them a zero rating I could.

Awful company. Don't know what they are doing , worse customer service ever. Avoid this company.
Even your payments go missing, so keep all receipts and record your phone conversations. They lie , and they rip you off. Wish I could give no stars at all. We are trying to change supplier

Called the customer service line with a billing query. The foreign lady did not grasp my problem and kept speaking so fast that it was impossible to understand her. I had to politely asked her to speak more slowly but she still couldn't explain my bill to me and got very frustrated (and spoke even faster) when I kept asking her the same question. In the end I aborted the call and just accepted the bill as it was.

I cannot set up an account with these people. They have got £500 of mine which i need transferring to my new account. Hours on the phone wasted trying to find just one competent staff member. It is beyond frustrating! What I've noticed is nobody is able to give you any documented confirmation in the form of an email there and then!
They just say it will all be activated in 24 hours but nothing happens. Its like they're just there to tell you what you want to hear so they can get off the phone asap. Very shady organisation from what i can see it has to be said and looking at just a few other reviews it's obvious that I'm not alone in thinking that. Utterly shocking!

Had a smart meter fitted for gas and electric. The workman could not relight the pilot light so left me without hot water or heating and told me to contact a plumber, at my own cost! Luckily, I managed to light it myself. When eventually, I do get through to speak to an actual person, we cannot understand eachother. I come off the phone unsure if I have resolved the issue.

Customer service is appalling, gas smart meter faulty, doesn’t signal to box and they blame the signal in our area, excessive charges, problem still not resolved after 7weeks & hours on the phone.
You’ll get a different EDF agent every time you call, they don’t take notes of previous conversations, never ring back when they say, I’ve learnt after my first couple of phone calls that the agent tells you what you want to hear, probably knowing you won’t get them next time you ring.
