Stayed in the Sullivan Suite for 3 nights. The staff are lovely, friendly and very polite. They were very helpful to me personally (thank you all..!) and I greatly appreciate their kindness. The hotel itself is quirky, full of history with a pleasant ambience. We had supper on our arrival day and the food was excellent; plenty of choice and also a good selection on the Bar Menu as well. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and clean - the decor suited the history of the building. The gardens are beautiful.|Come and stay here, it's full of charm.

The Best Western Plus Grim's Dyke Hotel is set in a stunning, historic building surrounded by idyllic gardens and forest, making the location perfect for a peaceful retreat. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, adding a lovely touch to our stay.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was a major letdown. At £15, we expected more. On the first day, they were out of avocado, leaving only two breakfast options (full English and a vegetarian version), which were small and underwhelming. The undercooked tomato and dry bacon didn’t help either. For what was served, it felt like it shouldn’t have cost more than £5. The second day, we ordered avocado and poached eggs on toast, only to find the cold buffet lacking of ham. On each day, the meat and cheese selection was both poor in quality and quantity. The beer selection at the bar was also limited and overpriced.

That said, the beautiful setting and warm, attentive staff made up for some of the shortcomings. We would definitely stay again, but we’ll plan to eat and drink out next time. There are some great local pubs nearby!

I cannot say enough fabulous things about this hotel.
1. the hotel itself is stunning and the setting looks like it is from a fairy tale
2. the staff is what we all dream of when we think about the utmost in customer service and truly above and beyond hospitality. They really make you feel like they are excited you are there!
3. the food was extremely good, and the bar was a lot of fun -- the terrace in the formal garden was so nice for an afternoon cocktail as well
4. the facility was clean and very well run

Written on behalf of my parents: My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a lunch for twenty on Saturday 7th December at the Grim’s Dyke hotel.
The food was excellent and we were looked after by the maitre d who ensured everything went smoothly. A beautiful hotel and grounds and an ideal venue for a special occasion.

I recently went to an anniversary here. The hotel exuded elegance and sophistication, providing a perfect setting for such a special occasion. The spacious venue was ideal for large celebrations, and the attentive staff ensured a seamless and personalized service. Despite its secluded location, it added to the exclusivity of the event. Not to forget, the great atmosphere and the amazing food served were the cherry on top of the exceptional experience. A solid 5-stars rating for a truly memorable celebration.

Wonderful service from the barman in the Library Bar on a cold Sunday morning. Popped in for a cuppa in between jobs and was warmly greeted; felt valued as a customer; and found this gentleman to be a hugely positive boost during a dreary day. Will be back just to enjoy his company again.

This is a hidden gem of North London! Located in stunning surroundings of a historic traditional building that equals to a perfect place to relax. We have been here a few times and very glad we discovered the place. Service and its staff are pleasant! Food is fantastic! Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely place for a break. The Hotel is set in beautiful grounds and offers has a very high standard of accommodation. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and there are great menu choices. We had our honeymoon here and return each year for our anniversary. Highly recommended.
