Once again, STC organised a superb expedition - from planning through to our time in India. The expedition was shaped around a fixed itinerary with my own preferences added in, something that makes the experience for more appropriate for our students and what they want (and need!). Huge variety in three weeks and a remarkable, unforgettable experience for all concerned. Probably the single biggest factor once we were out there (as opposed to the 20+ months of meticulous STC planning) was a superb guide. Flexible, knowledgeable, aware and unassuming yet in charge.

My son has recently returned from a 10 day school trip to South Africa organised by STC. I was extremely worried and nervous about him going away so far from home. I needn't have worried. The organisation of the trip was second to none. Extremely professional and STC were on hand to answer any questions I had, from the time of booking, right up until the day before departure. I must give a special mention to Holly as she was superb! She went above and beyond, answering all my questions. My son has returned and described the trip as "Life changing". He had the time of his life. The trip itself was amazing and a jam packed itinery. He has learned so much from his experience. It was worth every penny. If his school were to organise another trip with STC I would sign him up, no hesitation!

STC were fantastic from the start with organising our school trip to Costa Rica in October 2024. Their bespoke online platform allows parents to log in and update passport and medical information right up to departure which STC checked regularly, chasing parents for renewed passport information which allowed me more time for other tasks. STC collated this information, sending me an extensive departure pack which even included medications which may be required for the trip. There was regular contact from the moment I enquired to the trip departure and of course throughout; the support I received was outstanding. Harry led a wonderfully knowledgeable pre-departure workshop on ethical and sustainable tourism which allowed the pupils to think about how to minimise any negative impacts of their travels. STC work with excellent tour guides and our driver was sensational as he navigated the roads and made us feel very safe (in a very comfortable and shiny coach). I can't wait to continue working with STC on our trip to Borneo for 2025, who have already shown such commitment to ensuring our trip is tailored and includes everything we wish.

STC Expeditions were absolutely brilliant all the way through from initial enquiry to providing support when we had returned. They delivered a fantastic trip to Borneo for 24 students and 3 staff which ticked all of our requirements. Clear communication throughout and they provided very thorough risk assessments, a comprehensive EVAC plan and guidance on sustainable tourism, water, kit list etc. STC also provided very detailed sessions on these topics to pupils before we departed and ran a thought-provoking inset for many staff at our school who run school trips. Support whilst in country was excellent as well - we had a very knowledgeable guide and communication from the UK when needed was very efficient. Genuinely interested to take on feedback as well. Will definitely be using them again.

This was an excellent expedition: really well thought out and organised. The Grand Atlas Traverse, in magnificent scenery, had us trekking for around 20 days, with well timed rest days and voluntary work in a village in the Boughmez valley to break up the rigours of the trek - and they were certainly rigours! What with altitude, remoteness, heat on some days, high winds (gusting 100+km/h) on the passes on others, dust and rock, a dried-out lake that was all baked 'mud flowers' ... a fair number of days and nights above the tree line. Our guides, Hassan and Omar, were superb: multi-lingual (in English and French, as well as in Berber and Arabic) and full of local knowledge, lore and experience to enliven our long conversations either en route or round the campfire/candlelight in the evenings. There was also a cook, Ahmed (also a folk-singer and farmer!) who was possibly the oldest in our group of 32, but full of zest and spring in his step, jauntily walking the entire route with us alongside catering 3 meals a day for over 30 grown men in the wild open. Lots of fresh and local produce, and delicious tagines galore at the end of each day, including two from a goat bought from a goatherd on one of the mountainsides where we camped. The days were much enriched by the novel company of 11 muleteers, plus of course their mules - full of enjoyable novelty despite being timeless accompaniment for travellers in every age and clime. Such skill and deftness in the wilderness, such stamina,, such panache - and that was just the animals! Not even the herd of camels at one watering hole at daybreak in the mountainous desert was enough to frighten them away, although apparently it should have done, and we would have faced a 5- or 6-day trek back to their villages where the mules' incredibly precise homing instinct would have unfailingly driven them. The geology (several dinosaur footprints included) ... the panoramas ... the flora and fauna ... the football matches in unlikely locations with the muleteers ... the Berber hospitality ... the two days of mountain biking from the Mt Mgoun plateau down the scenic Tessaout valley, past and through earthquake-stricken mud-built villages. And then of course, the exoticism of Marrakech, its souk and minarets and medina and madrassahs, book-ending the trip. It was a perfect blend. I would recommend this trip, and its leaders and organisers, to anybody!

Safely taking 25 young teenagers to Africa shouldn't be this easy but with STC every contingency was covered. Clear guidance with passports, visas, antimalarials, sustainable tourism, water, equipment and the most comprehensive safety management plan I have ever seen ensured the most enjoyable, rewarding, humbling and educational trip was shared by students and teachers alike. Happy to recommend this fantastic company to all and I personally wouldn't look to use anyone else for future trips of this kind. Thanks to all at STC.

Fantastic trip to Morocco organised by STC. Chris was amazingly thorough - came into school and did a great pre-trip presentation which settled the minds of parents and students about to start quite an adventurous trip. On the ground team were similarly impressive - all selected from Berber population so we had a full on Moroccan experience, engaging with local people and business. Highlights included a wonderful trek in the Atlas Mountains, tour of Marrakesh and the camel ride and beach clean in Essaouira. I would highly recommend this tour to those studying Economics, Geography and Business.

We had our first expedition to Borneo with STC this summer and wow - what an amazing time we had. Chris and his team have been exceptional throughout the process. From our first enquiry right through to our return, they have been there to answer all our questions. Travelling as a group across multiple schools we haven't been a straight forward 'case' however nothing has been too much of a problem. Whilst on our expedition, the itinerary was varied and interesting and the 'in-country' staff second to none. We can't wait for our next expedition which we are already planning with STC. It is great to be able to discuss such big adventures like these with a team of 'like-minded' people who are so knowledgable but also understand the aims and ethos we are trying to achieve. Thanks to everyone at STC
