Callow Oils have supplied us for 2 years or so now and we've always had great service, delivery on time and fair prices.

As a local businessman I appreciate the importance keeping money within our local community but equally I need to feel that I am getting good value and good service. Callow Fuels have always delivered both.
Yesterday this was reinforced when I woke to find that we had no hot water, on checking the tank found that we had run out of heating oil.
I called a another supplier at 8am was given a price and a lead time of 2 weeks then at 8:30am I called Callow Fuels they gave me a very similar price and a lead time of a week. I went ahead placed the order and explained my predicament, the polite lady explained that although she couldn't promise anything they would do their upmost to help.
Last night I got home to find that thanks to the team at Callow Fuels my tank was full and we had heat and hot water 🙂
I would like to think that this is an example of why it is important to keep your business local, to build a relationship with your suppliers and not to jump ship to save a penny.

Honestly, in the space of less than 10 hours, Callow fuels saved my Xmas as my Aga oil tank was on empty. The office manager Debbie, in her own time after the office was meant to be closed, arranged an emergency delivery which arrived at 8.00am this morning. The driver made four deliveries and went back to the depot to get my oil. I had ordered the fuel with Watson on the 13th December and found out expected delivery had moved to 30th December. I couldn't even get through on the phones to Watson Fuel to question this. I will remain a loyal customer to Callow fuels as the customer service was exceptional.

The lady was not rude on the phone but I’m new to oil having moved house and not sure how much oil I use per day, I’m now having to turn off my heating and water to preserve what we have, so we don’t run out. Sadly she was unable to give me any idea of approximately delivery times, only saying 7-10 days. Surely your company could have a system to know approximately when your delivery date would be “after” orders are places and paid in advance…. 7-10 days is a big difference when your short on oil. Wasn’t asking to bring it forward just a day within the 7-10 days so I knew

Having written this review I feel I must now update it . Callow fuels called me within a very short time and the lady was very helpful and gave me great advice about looking and understanding how much oil I did have ( less than I thought 😳). She was also very patient with me whilst I searched for buttons and gauges.. maybe a lesson to learn, but being new to oil it is hard to understand usage and obviously with the cold snap we had used our supply very quickly, also moving house is stressful enough and I didn’t give it a thought to be fair always having gas on demand! . But thank you so much, it’s nice to know you value your customers and more importantly listen to our needs.

So disappointed! I suggested this company to my tenant. He arranged delivery. They claimed that they can’t give a date. The only text at 8pm the night before and could arrive anytime. He missed the text and was working the next day. He called to rearrange. They were rude. He ran out of oil so had no heating or hot water. Has a young child! He expressed this when trying to arrange re delivery. The call operative said, all our customers claim they have run out. You have to wait like everyone else. This is fair. But they offer no timeline other than two weeks and subject to when they are in the area.

I then called as the landlord to explain the situation further and informed that a new boiler is being fitted so oil is needed they were rude to me and same response. They made my angry and frustrated by the way they spoke to me.

Worst thing is, he’d paid up front!!!

Absolute joke of a company.

Went to Evesons Fuels. Complete contrast. Ditch Calliw Oils or don’t even bother and use some one else. Anyone! Give them a really wide birth. In my personal view.

Unbelievable: expensive, terrible customer experience, terrible engagement.

We suffered a faulty oil tank gauge resulting in no heating or hot water. One phone call to callow oils Hereford and before I knew it we had a delivery on our driveway. Thank you callow oils !!

Despite providing a quote for oil, 2 days later send an email stating they will not quote or delivery. Lack all sense of empathy and willing to leave 5 month old and 2 year old in the cold.

No chance I'll be requesting a quote from Callow Fuels again.
