Just had a fab new gas stove and brick surround installed and am over the moon.

This was the third place in the North East we’d visited looking for a wood burning stove. A World of Fires was by far the best in terms of price, options, and customer service. We chose a log burner that would fit well in our home, it was a good price and unlike a previous place, the survey was free.

The fitters came out on the morning of the agreed date, put it in with minimal disruption and left our home as clean as when they arrived after giving a demo and some helpful information about use and maintenance.

I want to give a special mention to Jan. she could not have done more for us. She was very engaging, offered some great advice whilst being transparent about costs. Jan is one of the reasons we went ahead, her customer service was top level. The same can be said for Glen when doing the survey and the two gentlemen who installed our new purchase. Highly recommended.

Could not recommend Glen and the team he uses at world of fires enough. From the initial uncertainty of what we wanted to there guidance on what would or wouldn’t work.

Friendly informative and no hard sell

The tradesman used are of such a high standard from the joiner, electrician and plastering team to the tv install guy.

Everything done in 2 days.

Would not hesitate to recommend.

Got there in the end after the installers turned up on the originally agreed fitting date without the correct parts to do anything so had to be rearranged for the following week. Pleased with the final result of the install, though there was a bit of a clean up to finish off afterward with some marks to the wooden flooring and pile of rubbish left in the front garden for us to deal with. I feel like this could’ve been a better experience overall, perhaps we just got unlucky as a lot of other reviews are very positive.

What a fantastic experience dealing with A World of Fires. Right from visiting the showroom, browsing and even being allowed to photograph their displays (unlike a nearby rival!)

Jan was brilliant, offered all her experience to help us select the best fire that would suit our design.

We certainly shopped around, however returned to A World of Fires as we felt they offered the best service & choice. We felt assured that if we did have any issues in the future, they would be there to help us. After all it’s not just about the buying experience, it’s about the aftercare too.

They excelled in every way. Jan not only made sure we got what we ordered but ensured delivery when we wanted it. Glen price matched and supplied us with two sets of back lights. When taking delivery, the young guy delivering even helped my husband position the fire into the media structure! We honestly could not of asked for more.

We purchased the Onyx Avanti 190RW, and love it. It’s turned our lounge into a cosy place.

We are so impressed by Glen at A World of Fires. Our new house has an existing Bellfires gas fire which hasn’t been working since before we moved in and Bellfires engineers are scarce.
Without any obligation whatsoever, Glen very kindly spent a long time on the phone helping us troubleshoot possible problems. This level of generosity, skill and good old fashioned values are definitely worth a shout out!
