Two poor experiences.
1. When you make a claim, they tell you how much they are prepared to cover, without being able to recommend a garage that will do the job for the price they quote.
2. I had an engine fault light come on 4 days before I was due to have an MOT. I decided to wait for the MOT to see what they found. When I sought to progress a claim on this basis I was told that my cover (from the dealership I had bought the car from) did not cover MOT failures. Apparently, had I initiated the claim 4 days earlier I would have been covered - after a fashion!
In my experience this is a company that rejects claims on technicalities and minimises claims they cannot reject.
If you're thinking of using them, a look at their balance sheet would be sensible.

My experience with Warrantywise couldn't have been better. I purchased the 3 year warranty when I got the car 2.5 years ago. The driver's side heater stopped working, I contacted Warrantywise who forwarded over the info I needed to make a claim. Found a garage that were familiar with working with warranty companies, had the diagnostic done, the garage advised WW what the fault was and cost to fix. Very quickly WW authorised the fix and the work was done. I scanned and sent the invoice with the proof of payment by email and a few days later a cheque for the full amount dropped through the letterbox.

Initial issue was disputed from the beginning and was first told my policy didn’t cover for consequential repairs, when I proved this was included they then clutched at multiple clauses in my policy to avoid paying for the repairs. I overturned every excuse I was given and was then told this would be reviewed and I would hear back within 7 days. This was in November of 2024 and I still haven’t heard anything. I paid towards the repairs and the my vehicle didn’t get 15 miles away before having the further issues due to the fault not being diagnosed properly which has now caused further damage due through Jo fault of mine. I was then asked to cover the rest of the repair costs towards an entire new engine. I have had to battle since October 2024 regarding this and it’s almost February 2025 and I’m still without a vehicle and still having to battle for the services I have paid for. I have been let down massively by all parties involved in this and I’m extremely disappointed with the services received. These people are paid to have our best interests yet just want to try get out of paying for anything! As stated above I proved every clause you tried to throw at me as incorrect YOU should of covered the costs and it’s down to yourselves/repairers/finance to cover the further costs due to the misdiagnosis of the fault. Every attempt I’ve made to contact someone I get palmed off to other departments till eventually I hear nothing from no one. I’ve now had to reach out to the financial ombudsman because everyone involved in this has let me down and caused me nothing but stress for months on end

I had the pleasure of speaking with Ciera from Warranty Wise this afternoon, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service she provided. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and informative throughout our call, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Especially at a time I need the least stress. She took the time to explain my next steps clearly and answered all my questions with patience. Warranty wise have such a good customer service team. It's rare to come across such excellent customer service in other companies. A simple friendly conversation can make a huge difference to your day. Thankyou Ciera.

Brought a vehicle with 98,000 miles on. Within eight months, I have the first issue. It needed an air suspension Compressor And a heater control valve as the heaters were cold inside the vehicle. The bill came to around 2K. They emailed me to say because the vehicle had done over 100,000 ( current mileage at time was 102k) This would be considered wear and tear due to the mileage and they will not cover. I then ask them to cancel my policy and get a refund and they have refused so I’ve purchased a three year Platinum Warranty that is worthless. I explained to them that if I make a claim for something else, you’re going to come up with the same excuse how can they sell a warranty For a vehicle with 98,000 miles If that’s they’re going to use. I will be taking this further. I am calling a solicitor. I want my money back for warranty it’s not worth the paper it’s written on

WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!
They'll tell you what you want to hear and promise complete peace of mind.
I was told that if I cancel my policy, I will get a refund, but nobody mentioned I would have to pay a cancellation fee and other charges.
Policy costed £1350 for 4 years term after 12 months cancelled policy and got refund £850
I recon £500 is way too much for 12 months and no claims being made.
Stay away from them.

I recently purchased a 2015 Honda Civic with just 23,000 miles from Elland Road Car Sales and was given a 6 month platinum warranty through Warranty Wise (Policy No 8736872). When driving the car home a had a low oil pressure warning pop up on the display screen but went out within a second or two. It then happened again around an hour later and I thought it may be a sticky sensor after being standing for a month or so. I drove it for a few days with no issue but them later that week it happened three more times in the same day so I contacted Warranty Wise to find out how I proceed with a warranty claim. I was told to get in touch with one of their authorised garages (or one of my choice but had to be wary of hourly rate as it was limited so couldn't use a Honda dealer or I would have to pay the difference). I tried contacting all my local authorised garages and most of them refused to do any work due to the past issues they have had with Warranty Wise as a company. I eventually found one and booked it in for diagnostics. The way the policy works is you have to get a quote from the garage to carry out the first stage which in my case was a diagnostics and live oil pressure test. Under the policy agreement you MUST then authorise the garage to proceed which I did at £295. After carrying out the above a new quote was supplied to me to get the oil, oil filter and pressure switch replaced. I again had to authorise the work ay £277 so £572 in total. All the work was carried out and after a short drive to test, all seemed ok. I collected the car and paid the £572 expecting to receive a refund from Warranty Wise for the work carried out. I drove the car home and within 15mins the low oil pressure warning switch come back on. I took it back to the garage and explained I bough the car just within the last two weeks and they immediately advised me to reject it as it would need further investigation which could cost much more as the engine will need partial stripping to find the issue.
I then got in touch with Warranty Wise and had an initial offer to pay just £97.26 towards the total cost of £572. Understandably I was not happy with this decision and appealed for a better offer. A few days later after sending more information from the garage they offered me just £247.26 in total leaving me £325 out of pocket. I took the money but later spoke to one of their sales team who followed up the repair and told them exactly what I thought of the company. They force you to authorise the work or it doesn't get done and then give you a minimum payment towards the cost. Personally I would not recommend Warranty Wise to anyone. Even the garage warned me not to use them as they were apparently one of the worst warranty companies out there in their experience. I should of known this when I was struggling to get any so called authorised garages to look at the car. Absolute shocking company and a real waste of money. They do offer Warranty Wise rewards that give you money off vouchers etc to different days out and events but I would much prefer if they kept those offers and paid for the repairs to be carried out as you would expect. Just goes to show how much money they make of the poor clients who get ripped off. Use this company at your peril, and don't expect to get the work needed paid for as they will use any excuse not to pay the full repair cost if any. Avoid or get stung. Mr Dean Powell.

Avoid Warranty Wise – Unfair Claim Denial with No Evidence

I had a complete steering rack failure, but Warranty Wise denied my claim by falsely stating it was a pre-existing issue—without any proof or evidence. They sent an assessor from IVIS, who simply concluded it was pre-existing, despite having no findings to support this claim.

If Warranty Wise sends IVIS to inspect your car, be warned—they claim to be independent, but they work in the interest of Warranty Wise, not the customer. Just look at IVIS’s reviews, and you’ll see a pattern.

I have now escalated this to the Managing Director, in hopes that he will intervene and help me get what I am rightfully entitled to. However, if Warranty Wise continues to deny my claim based on nothing but speculation and opinion, I will be taking this matter further. I have been advised that I am fully within my rights to do so.

If you’re considering taking out a Warranty Wise policy, my advice is—don’t. This company is not interested in fairness or customer care. If they refuse to resolve my issue properly, I will be taking this to the local press to warn others. Save your time and money—go elsewhere.
