We "inherited" Tomlinson Longstaff when we took over a business 7 years ago. We were really impressed with them and have continued to use them over the years. Since retiring, we have undertaken several major building projects. Alicia and her team have been with us every step of the way in advising and fitting new electrical installations in several old buildings. Excellent service. All staff are extremely knowledgeable.

A fantastic local business, with an approachable, engaged and accessible team to guide you through the process. During the initial stages of this proposal, Alicia dedicated time and effort to ensure we had our venue surveyed, with built-in projections to demonstrate how the system would work for us. This included alternative options and builds for a flexible budget. Unbeknownst to Tomlinson-Longstaff, four companies were approached to conduct this work, yet they stood head and shoulders above their competition with this approach. Their engagement during the installation was also very good, responsive and diligent at all stages.

Positives: Great communication, Accessible, Professional, Engaged, Flexible and fully committed to customer satisfaction.
Negatives: Third-party installation of the scaffold, caused initial concerns, but was quickly rectified when raised.

When my Solar Power system stopped working I called Tomlinson Longstaff as I prefer to support local businesses. They came out the next morning and diagnosed the issue, had a quote the next day and I decided to go ahead. A new inverter was installed and working a week later. A big thank you to the team at Tomlinson Longstaff. Alicia carried out the initial discussions at a visit to our home to install a Solar PV and battery installation. Following consultation and some tweaks we bought this and in addition an Eddi to heat our water and an additional car charger to utilise surplus electricity diverted to out cars.
Stephen and Carol carried out the installation of the electricals and the panels, they make a magnificent pair, they are conscientious, punctual and clearly take pride in their work.
The system is working great, saving us money and I would highly recommend them if you want to deal with a local, long standing business.

UPDATE. Here we are approaching 1 year since installation. We have generated 7MW/h, the system has never given any faults and has worked flawlessly saving us a great deal of money and contributing to significant carbon reduction. I continue to highly recommend Tomlinson Longstaff for a real quality installation
