Waste of time, surveyor came, nice fella, checked everything he needed to for the government free insulation grant scheme, while he viewed inside of wall cavities with camera and took photographs I was stood by him out of curiosity to see if anything was in there, 1st wall cavity was front of house, turned camera 360 degrees and saw nothing in there at all, next 2 walls he drilled holes on each side of the corner,(semi detached house) turned camera 360 degrees showing minimal bit of old insulation from 20 yrs ago up against bottom corner of each wall, nothing in rest of cavity, when I called for update I was told I didn't qualify for wall cavity insulation as there's 58% insulation missing in the walls, there needs to be 67% missing (67%?),so due to a difference of 9% we can't get it done, when I queried how they came up with 58% I was told, it's a rough estimate from photographs taken, A 'rough estimate ' !!? You've got to laugh, needless to say I cancelled loft insulation and window vents installation as I'll be contacting another firm

I had them install my external insulation. It was a disaster from start to finish!! I now have cracks in the render and after sending them photos I was told “ it’s your house, your problem”.
I am now having remedial work done by another company to put the many mistakes they made right. Please don’t use this company they are cowboys!

To start; the boiler replacement team was pretty good, straight forward job, out with the old and in with the new, seemed in a rush but still a decent job.

Under floor insulation, the one chap was very good - worked hard getting under the floor boards, the other one hardly did anything. He didn't even screw in the floor boards at the end, and the mess! No dust sheets, the whole house was left a real building site.

The worst of it was the installation (or non-installation) of the kitchen fan and window vents. So the lad who did the window vents got every one of them wrong and had to redo them, yes every single one! And the one who ruined my kitchen ceiling installing the kitchen fan had no qualifications, but was still trying to install the electrical fan, which he didn't finish. He left a hole in the wall and the ceiling, and a live wire just hanging down.

It's been a week and I've heard nothing of it or when the work will be completed. To be honest I wouldn't let them in.

I have a background in electronics so was able to isolate the wire and remove it.

My advice is to avoid this company as there must be better companies out there who do this kind of work properly. In my experience the people who come out to do the work are not professional tradesmen and the company just hires them so they can continue claiming from the government grant scheme. My worry is if they do this kind of work in elderly or vulnerable people's properties, it would be a real health and safety issue, not to mention the potential damage to the property. I'm look into highlighting the companies negligence to the correct authorities.

I've had to take time off work to rectify the work, not to mention the stress.

Please do not touch this business. Signed up my 93yrs old father for a new free boiler and underfloor insulation. Did the survey and confirmed there was nothing to pay. The first installed the underfloor heating and then said they had made a mistake on the boiler survey and he would need to pay £100 towards the costs. This is a government scheme. Unfortunately as they had started with the insulation we could not get the work done by any other company in the scheme and he had no choice but to pay.. This was January 2021. In July 2021 there was a fault showing on the boiler. I called them only to be told they only provide a one month guarantee and I would need to contact the manufacturer. I intend to report to both trading standards and contact my MP as the government should not be facilitating these crooks . Again the scheme is good but not this company Steer we’ll clear of them

Have had a very good experience using "Simple Green Energy" and would definitely recommend them.

For myself the job process, from start to finish, was explained properly and all my concerns and questions were answered.

After the initial survey we had two young lads come and complete the underfloor insulation. Initially, I had my concerns about this as was worried my carpet etc would get ruined. However, they were very tidy and efficient with their work and left my house exactly how it was to start off with.

Two days later, I was booked in for my vents and extractor fan institution. The job was messy and Mr Singh (electrician) tried his utmost best to leave me as happy as possible. We had a few issues along the way but he was adamant to finish the job to a high standard regardless of the time it consumed.

Lastly, I was booked in for my boiler insulation. Naveed (gas engineer) was very professional and tidy with his work. It took him approximately 5 hours to fit my boiler. He answered all my technical questions along the way and left the house to a very clean standard when finished.

Credit has to be given where it is due. The whole process was very simple, fast and efficient. I cannot fault the team. A big thank you to all the workers at the company for keeping me informed along the journey.

Lastly, big shout out to Dhanyal (manager). He was very friendly and approachable. He ensured all aspects of my job were completed to a high standard and rang me on numerous occasions to ensure I was happy with the process. That being said the team are very efficient and professional, the entire process was completed within 10 days.
