Cadent has just started work on my street, in Norwich, and already shown how irresponsible they could be, on occasions!

Carelessly blocked the road with their lorry when working just 2 metres away from an adjacent crescent. They expect all the traffic to divert because they are at work! I was going to work too, and I was late because of them.

Reluctantly, they’ve moved away just when the cars queuing started to build up and put pressure on them to free up the road.

When I have asked their supervisor (Jo) why they didn’t positioned their lorry on the crescent, he said that it works only in that way, on that angle.
By the way, the mobile part looked pretty articulated, to me.!

Very inconsiderate, and this is just the beginning!

Don't call these idiots if you have a Gas leak. They switch the entire thing off by capping it. They won't uncap it for you. Left us without Gas due to BG Cowboy Engineer working on our Boiler which caused CO alarm to go off!

-10 Star's if I could!

Came to deal with an emergency call-out within my block but instead of parking in the space belonging to the flat they attended or parking on the street which they have powers to do so, Cadent chose to trespass on private property which they confirmed they have powers to do so, even though there were plenty of alternatives, ignoring both signs on the block and a 3rd pop up sign on my space with no parking clearly written on it! This resulted in me being unable to park my car and missing arranged transport which then leads to me my partner, children and family who had come from abroad missing out on our holiday.
On-site staff also like to point out how lucky I’m that they are wearing uniform after we entered an argument when I asked him to move to another spot so that I could park, otherwise they could take things further! Always a pleasure dealing with such professional diplomats.

Their complaints department who keeps such matters internally response was in short tough luck they have the right to park where needed and are not liable for your holiday or time wasted and stressed caused. Even if there were plenty of alternative spaces to park we choose what is best for us. They even advised me that if my space was blocked that I should of simply trespassed on someone else's property.

If there ever was a company who would fit the bill of the Christmas Grinch they get my vote!

I had Peter visit my property in Stevenage on three occasions to locate the run of my existing gas supply so that a supply could be run off it to a new property to be built next door.
On each occasion he was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble in trying to locate the existing gas supple which was finally found after a lot of hard work.
Peter was well worth the five star rating and was an absolute credit to his Company.

I contacted Cadent reguarding my fall because of the subsidence of the pavement. I spoke to a very nice man called Damian who was very helpful and apologetic. A very nice man called Mark came round to see if I was OK and where I had fallen. Within 24 hours the repair was done. I received a very lovely hamper as a good will gesture. All staff were very concerned, professional and friendly. This made me feel I was cared for. Thank you to all Cadent staff for all their concern.

Cadent gas are laying new pipes to our houses. They needed to move our meter, but have put it so low to the floor we are unable to take a reading. We were told that it could not be repositioned. They then said it would be moved. 1week later we have had no communication from them, even after phoning customer service nearly ever day to find out when it we be done.I phone them today I was told an email would be sent to the workmen and I would be contacted today, I have heard nothing, so phoned again just now to be told I should have also have received a call from Nicola to ‘say sorry’, did she phone,?, of course not. I could go on in more detail about the lack of communication blood I can feel my stress levels rising.

Had temporary lights up for over a week near me. Some days they don't even work, causing miles worth of traffic through a small village. Sign says works are due to start on the 27th of Jan and last two days. They've been there since the 20th at least. Never see anyone actually working there.

We had an ‘Alive or dead’ gas check over 3 weeks ago, to get a meter fitted in our property.
The engineer told us to expect a call soon about a NPRN supply number (we can’t get a meter without this).
We rung today to chase this as we hadn’t heard anything, only to be told that there is a 4 MONTH waiting list for the assessment to determine if the piping was put in by a ‘legitimate source’ and it would take longer and cost over £1000 if any work was needed.
We were not told this and in the meantime have had the water tank and electric heaters removed in the house and a plumber installing radiators.
We have tenants due to move in in 6 WEEKS and now potentially have no means of heating or hot water for 4 months!
If we were told about the waiting list, we would never have had the heaters and water tank removed.
Absolutely ridiculous!
