Didn’t allow me to pay my bill for over a year despite me trying to consistently. Then demanded it all at once and passed my account on to debt collectors. When I complainer the agent said ‘that’s just how it goes’ The worst customer service and experience I have ever received - avoid at all costs

These guys are the worst to deal with. The advertise they give you a solar rebate but in 9 months they gave me zero , yet my readings from 36 panels was hundreds of dollars $$, they miss calculate the readings , they say estimates on the bill, they they say someone tried to read the meter, but it’s all lies , don’t believe anything they say, , I have been trying to get my refund for weeks and weeks , to no avail. More excuses than any book,there is so much more

This company are the worst. They took over from sse and have been nothing by problems for 6 months in December my bill went up 70% and they kept giving me excuses. I finally left and have been with octopus who are amazing. I left as every time I complained (5 times) I was never called back and they kept closing the cases. I was calling every week twice a week and after doing this for 6 weeks I gave up..

I would put less than one star tbh. IT IS A SCAM. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. My mom was renting and landlord had a contract with them. She was paying bills every month as statements were coming, including the very last one. 6 months later after she moved out, they contacted her saying she never paid no bills and demanded 700£. They were aggressively proving this point sending multiple emails and calls. Only after she showed the proves that everything was paid they said oh ok 300£ then. We requested investigation, they did’t do anything, and now said they passed it to debt collectors. What the actual f, READ ABOUT IT, ON REDDIT, ANYWHERE. EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Ovo recently contacted me (after 2 years of not being with them) to tell me I owed over £3K because they got both my moving in dates wrong and my moving out dates wrong. They thought I was still with them. I'd cancelled my account and paid the final bills 2 years ago, and called to check this was all good and they said it was, and even refunded me £44 at the end of my time with them. So, they amend the £3K, but I'm still totally confused why suddenly they're saying there is roughly £350 still left to pay. I get contacted again and see the dates and some other information in this mysterious "final bill" still appear incorrect.

So I call multiple times, email multiple times (with no success, as I get told the email isn't registered to an account at Ovo, which just contradicts everything even more), and when I am lucky enough to get a response or through to them, I get told different information by different people. Two seperare people told me there is an error with this bill and to ignore it, while two other people tell me there isn't an error, yet still apologise that Ovo messed up my account closing procedure?

Anyways, after a few weeks of being essentially harassed with emails and texts telling me I have to pay this dodgy bill, I had a long chat with someone at Ovo who yet again said there was nothing I could do. So in the already horrid cost of living crisis, they took a ridiculous amount of money from me and had no empathy or accountability. No one bothered to investigate it or understand it, they just got very sturn with me.

I cannot stress enough how incompetent and disappointing Ovo's treatment of this situation has been, and how little they seem to care if you're a past customer as opposed to a current one apparently.

Avoid if you can, maybe you'll have a better experience, but I've never dealt with this level of gross unprofessionalism and, essentially, bullying.

Nasty of piece of work you guys are. Kicking customers when down. Hope you get your all your desired moneys

Very poor service. They don’t seems to know what they’re doing! My meter is broken for 3 weeks and I can’t top up, and I’ve been off supply even though Im on the priority list. Ovo keeps sending me replacement keys without fixing the actual problem which to do with the meter, not the key! I called them more than 10 times to fix this problem and every time I call I have to keep repeating myself it’s very stressful. I do not recommend this company.
