An absolute joke of a company. I do not have the choice to change provider for my hot water and heating. They charge my meter for hot water and heating even when I'm not home. I was away for 10days and it cut my credit of 20pounds and went it to emergency funds. They fake the absolute piss because they know the housing association use them and we tenants do not have the right to change to another provider. I have never paid 200 pound per month just for heating and hot water. An absolute joke of a company that make money out of us. The people behind the phone lines are reading scripts of the screen, put u on hold for ages just for one word answer. I wouldn't even give a star. I hope they go bankrupt and get closed down.

A complete waste of time and awful recruitment process. Its been six weeks had no call or any feedback from them for the face to face interview I had with Charlotte. Thankfully read the reviews of company, after waiting for a long time and the level of their Customer Service could be judged from the faces of staff when you go their office. Felt like they were not happy to see someone being interviewed. No feedback at all and I can imagine the status of the customer service!!!!

I have been forced to pay my utility bills via this company for over a year now! Their invoicing and relationship with the housing association isn’t a very good workable solution! They can’t offer all scenarios for billing options, they are slow to reacting when rates change and they always blame the housing association when things go wrong! They don’t offer the solution to everything!

What an amazing honest company, run by amazing competent and very helpful staff. I am so happy I’m with them, by no choice of my own because my apartment building doesn’t allow people to switch energy providers.

They don’t send statements for months on end and then ask you to pay multiple statements all at once. Because the statements are sent so close together they end up double charging people via direct debit because their slow system cannot process that some of the statements have already been paid. If you also love being double charged in a cost a living crisis, this energy company is the right one for you, so it is.

I had to cancel my direct debit due to being overcharged on some occasions, and other occasions they just didn’t take payment at all. In February I received a large bill. When I phoned up and asked why it was so much, they said my statements for July and August last year had not been paid. They blamed it on my bank rejecting the payment, which was not true, Sycous just didn’t process the payment. How does it take 6 months to notify customers that payment has not been made? I had to pay 3 months all at once.

Occasionally you will get emails from Charlotte trying to explain why bills are so late. She kindly tells you that because the bills for the last 3 months have not been processed, you will be expected to pay them in quick succession when they arrive and gives you a heads up to budget for this accordingly. Yes, thank you Charlotte for that wonderful piece of advice. I will budget for my bills. Silly me. I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached!

Thanks Sycous. I don’t know how you manage to consistently provide a poor service, but you’re amazing at it. Keep up the outstanding work.

This is not right. I can chose my electric company to get myself the best deal but I'm told my heating and water must be with Sycous. It's a terrible pay as you go system who as far as I can see can charge what they want because I'm told I must use them by the council.

I had a terrible experience with Sycous. I had an appointment scheduled with them, and just 56 minutes before the appointment, they called to cancel it. They claimed that the parts needed for the job were not delivered. What a complete and utter joke! This is a complete waste of my time, and I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Sycous. They clearly have no respect for their customers' time and no ability to plan and coordinate their work effectively. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable service provider.

After 4 months of moving into my flat, the account has yet to be set up so I have no idea what my hot water and heating is costing me. Very poor customer service - take weeks to respond via email with no updates, and rude and impatient on the phone.
