There’s many pros and negatives working here so let me start with the pros.
There is a small few amazing staff there and a couple being supervisors and I just cannot fault them, one colleague I got on very well with. The pay is good and there’s generally good overtime.

The negatives they are understaffed so training can be poor and because of this you will be dragged down when your not up to the expected level which isn’t the new employees fault.
Supervisor are overworked with responsibility’s which means you cannot be trained effectively.
However when you request you want more training it’s either ignored or you have to come in on your days off.
Rotas are ridiculous to say the least.
Long working hours and it’s mentally draining.
You cannot have a opinion or even a moan or be negative in any shape or form people are quick to run and make a complaint. Even being nice will end you up in trouble.
You get zero praise if you do anything good from management yet the smallest error will see you in a lot of trouble.
Everything is done on performance don’t pick up the phone quick enough your in trouble, don’t call the police quick enough your in trouble, forget how to do something is frowned upon, everything is monitored.
Favouritism is ripe in this place too.
The place and be pretty unhygienic toilets not socked with paper towels and even if they are many don’t wash there hands and then go back to using the keyboard though cleaning supplies are there for the desk.

Breaks are pretty decent there is a small staff room but it’s awkward to eat as it’s two small sofas and a low coffee table.

Phones were all broken when I started and management were taking forever to sort the issue. Which made it difficult at times to hear people or you would disconnected but hey ho that will be your fault too.
Understanding guards was a issue but again that will be your fault.

It had become clear that management have little clue what controllers do and how intensely busy its get and how draining sitting there for 12 hours hoping not to miss something is while dealing with other issues or jobs at the same time. Yet theses are the first people who will point every little thing you have done wrong out and don’t listen when you explain why.

So to round it up if you prepared to sit and be the yes sir no sir three bags full sir be quiet learn the job in weeks with little training be overworked speak and understand wind, connection issue sounds fast talkers, very poor English and static no who everyone is and where they work pretty quickly, happy to be degraded complained about told off then this job will suit you down to the ground.
Anyone with half a brain cell just avoid because hard work covering shifts trying your best isn’t good enough for them clearly.
Also going to add that all staff were made redundant to have cheaper workers in Africa .
