Awful company AVOID (BE AWARE, we have just received a call 8/8/24 to say the company has changed hands. It is still showing as active on Companies House, with the same director)…….. They called my 76 year old friend to tell her they could see she had a fault with her solar panels and needed a booster unit. Not knowing she agreed. They subsequently installed a second hand unit see below images that is not connected to anything. Covered in paint and is clearly a used old unit. £1800 rip off merchants. When we called they seemed shocked…… shocked she found out I’m sure…. Said they would look into it… No refund.. installers name Matt Taylor who we believe to be from Southampton. The company appears to be closed however the owner according to companies house is the ceo of Solar Direct UK renewables.. be aware. Foot note: my friend has just received a phone call to say that the company has changed hands and did she want a service contract renewed.

DO NOT USE......this company have scammed my 80 year old mother. In 2021 they fitted an inverter and it was not done by an electrician and no certificate for installation was provided; which in itself is dangerous when they are playing with electrics in your home. This time they have tried to sell my mother an inverter when she already has the one they installed 2 years ago. She has dementia and has signed the forms and luckily I have picked up on this. They scam old people and then say they have a cancellation in their area so can fit the equipment in less than 48 hours from the appointment - which then negates the cancellation period of 14 days. This is disgusting behaviour and these people should be ashamed of themselves scamming old people out of money. It's sad when your business stoops so low that you are conning old and vulnerable people. Sadly none of the staff were taught about morals.

SCAMMERS!!! DON'T TOUCH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Told my 89 year old grandmother she needed an Optimiser fitting in her loft after fitting one in her garage 6 months before. They wrapped the cable around a beam and fed it back into the unit to look as though it was wired in, but there was no electrical source present. Also told her she needed a new fuse box due to hers being dangerous. Has been checked by an electrician and there is no need to replace. Keep your elderly relatives safe from these people as they pray on the vulnerable rather than earning an honest living.

This has been a roller coaster. I had a decent experience with the initial install (Sept 22), although it took a month for them to return and fit the bird mesh. I then tried to switch to a smart tariff in the spring, and couldn't find my MCS number (it wasn't in the welcome pack). So I asked for it. Turns out they aren't currently certified. It was going to happen in May, then in June, and finally July. Now they are not responding to my e-mails. This makes it very hard to recommend them as an installer.

Sadly, they appear to be CROOKS and I have to suggest you AVOID Hybrid Homes at all costs. They are not MCS registered or registered with a trade body - AND HAVE NOT BEEN SINCE JULY 2022. They still took my deposit, showing me an old certificate (from before they were deregistered); only after checking on the MCS website and showing them the lack of register did they admit to not being registered. Despite requesting a refund a few days after paying the deposit, and eventually getting them to agree to process the refund, they never paid and I had to get the credit card company to cancel the transaction. Really sad they were so bad - I had high hopes.

We connected Hybrid Homes regarding a new battery as ours wasn't working. From connecting them to getting it installed was a very quick process. Definitely recommend.
