As a prospective mature student, I have found their attitude to be DIRE. Almost made to feel like a second rate citizen.

Get bombarded with spam
Emails even after asking
To be removed from the emails.

Also takes them 8 weeks to reply to an email.

And when you phone up for advice it is not helpful at all. Even when I asked about the open day the person in the phone said “ what open day “

Shocked really as thought this place was supposed to be ok…

If there will be ranked for Worst university. This dmu will secure 1st position. They don't care about student. Every single staff is non experienced and illiterate. If you are admitting then better to drown in one drop of water.
This university had destroyed lots of students future and you will be the next.

As an international PhD student, DMU offered more than I needed in an academic research program. Coming from an African country, I did not experience discrimination. All students are treated equally

One of the illetrate university. Don't come to this university. I ruined my life by choosing this university. I left it in the middle of first year.
Especially for international student. They don't care about your any requirements or any problems during the semester. None of the staff is educated.

One star is also enough to give this university. They do not provide education. They only provide bad future to the student. I joined and none of the teacher and staff is friendly and not providing good care to the student.

Course leader of fine art stresses the course is aimed at school and college leavers (not when you apply of course, but once you are on the course)- people just starting new careers. Not professionals wishing to deepen their knowledge aiming for PhD, but young adults, amateurs and young students.

If you want a qualification to further your current career or to change direction there are more sensible choices available in the Midlands. This is not a good choice.

Lack of comment on your work, frequent missing feedback, unavailable unresponsive lecturers and inconsistent availability due to their artistic practice taking priority over the students. It disrupts the course. There are very toxic undercurrents within the staff which are frequently openly shared with students.

There are 'favourites' and 'non-favourites' of the course leader, and good staff don't seem to enjoy working for her one bit, frequently being replaced by new staff.

I would not recommend it.

Worst university I have ever seen. They make fool of students. They just put academic offences without any reason randomly. They just want more money. I got academic offence in my essay. It was not properly clear that why I got the offences. There was no clear instructions. Such a greedy university. I will not prefer anyone to come into this university otherwise you will loose your money as well as your career.....:(
