It's easy to see why retailers such as Amazon have taken over and become people's go to. It's easy to see why trades people like myself prefer to use the likes of Toolstation and Screwfix. Ordered item from B&Q, delivery date given of one week later, slow in itself and then the item doesn't turn up and no information available and customer service is absolutely terrible. It's the last time I will shop at B&Q.

Before buying bunk beds online I checked with the B&Q chat facility to see if mattresses were included and was told they were. So I placed an order.
However, when delivered guess what, no mattresses. Long story cut short, the highlights, or should I say low lights
5 complaint calls to an offshore call centre each with a promise made to call me back. All promises broken
Lengthy dialogue with banqhelp on Twitter, no progress made.
The only thing B&Qare good at is providing poor service and c9nsistently break8ng their promises

I have never know such a crap customer service for products that had been delivered to your home when damaged.
I had a sink and vanity unit delivered the second week in January 2025 and still now the 21st of March 2025 it hasn't been exchanged. All I get when I call for the forth time is yes it will be sorted this time, even with my constant emails too. I would never order any products again to be delivered to my home address.

Bought a bathroom from B&Q The sink didn't fit the B&Q fittings trap/waste , door hinges were missing, inserts for the legs of the cabinet were missing. There were many things that were wrong with the sale from the off. I really wouldn't recommend.

Bought a kitchen sink online came damaged contacted customer services and was told I would receive a text within 48 to 72 hours with a delivery date for a replacement, waited but heard nothing so phoned again and was told they were having problems with the warehouse but they wold prioritise a replacement and i would receive a text within 24 to 48 hours with a delivery date. In the meantime I have this huge box taking up space in my hallway. Still waiting almost a week later! Will ring again today for a refund or will then pass to PayPal to get my money back. Looking at reporting to trading standards too. Will never buy from them again and I have spent a lot of money over the years here, plenty of other places to do business with

So utterly useless. Bought wooden gate, got wooden door 6mm thick. Couldn't return as they wash their hands of their "verified sellers". Had to go to bank to get money back. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

B&Q has lost it reputation in all sense. Staff are rude and ignorant towards customers. Market place items are just a nightmare to return, customer service on the phone are absolutely usless. Avoid this company.

I was overcharged for a number of products I purchased in store from B&Q. I did not realise until I'd arrived home that they had over charged me. I have tried telephoning the store several times - nobody ever answers. I have contacted customers services 7 times so far but I only ever got fobbed off with scripted responses. I want a refund for the overcharge, surely that is not too much to ask?
