I feel compelled to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Scottish Power. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare.

I entered into a contract with this company for a mere month before I switched to a more reliable energy supplier. During my brief tenure, I ensured that all bills were settled promptly, and the transition to the new supplier occurred seamlessly. However, my ordeal began after switching away from their services.

Despite no longer being under contract with Scottish Power and not having gas supplies in my flat, I have been relentlessly pursued for payment on a non-existent gas bill. This incessant harassment has taken various forms, including face-to-face notifications from individuals associated with this company.

My attempts to address this issue through communication with your customer service team have proven futile. In a recent phone conversation, I was advised to send an email outlining the problem. Unfortunately, this is an impossible task as I no longer maintain an active account with the company.

The absurdity of the situation is causing me immense stress and frustration. I am meticulous about settling my bills promptly and have no intention of evading legitimate charges. However, the relentless attempts to charge me for a service I neither requested nor received are unacceptable.

The current state of affairs is not only irrational but also causing me significant emotional distress. I sincerely hope that this review prompts this company to rectify the situation promptly and prevent any further unnecessary harassment.

Our boiler broke and we called Scottish Power Boiler Care to fix it.
The service from the technician was great, however the service from Scottish Power and D&G is awful.
There was an error with our direct debit at the same time, and it was trying to fix this administrative problem that turned into a complete nightmare!
From rude agents, complaints that simply gets lost in the ether, actions that your agents promise that never gets followed up on, to the extremely scripted, uninformative, robotic answers given by your agents - it is some of the worst experience with a service provider we have ever had the misfortune of experiencing!
Now our plan has been completely cancelled and we are unable to get a proper answer as to why and how it can be fixed, because we keep being transferred through to different departments and nobody seems to know what the heck they're supposed to be doing!

This company make wanna make me pay 1400£ bill for prepayment meter. I never had any debt on it. After 3 month fighting whith them by official emails i get my account sorted with 151£ woucher with refund. Of course they been wrong. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT ASAP IF U STILL THERE.

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. Can’t understand or hear anything that advisor is saying she completely messed the account up and we’re now getting charged all the wrong bills, they don’t listen to what you’re actually saying and just follow a script. We had one helpful lady one time but apart from that they are absolutely atrocious.

SHAME ON YOU!!! there's a special place in hell for everyone who supports, works at or endorses this filthy company. been taking advantage of my 62 year old mother who barely speaks english for over 2 years. their meter conveniently stopped working during the pandemic and now they want to charge her a bill of £1200 despite the fact she's been consistently adding credit to her prepayment meter. I really really hope you go bankrupt

Took an account out with scottish power, got charged 100s of pounds, they supplied the wrong house then closed my account because I refused to pay them. Called multiple times to fix issue, phone operators impatient and unhelpful even after I sent them pictures of my meter. Now down 100s of pounds for no gas. Avoid this company like the plague, honestly one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life. Its like talking to a robot, they ignore all of your questions and just read a script at you. I had to talk to them to help a friend because of their disgusting scare tactics, they are currently still trying to charge her for a meter that doesn't exist in her house and was removed by them 3 years prior to her moving in. I spoke to one of their customer service agents this morning and am still furious 8 hours later!

Absolutely appalling! Countless hours on the telephone and no one can help. We've been ping-ponged from one department to another - the only thing we've asked is for them to send someone to replace our prepayment gas meter battery. Turns out they can't do that unless we have an account. To create an account they send us to a line that hung up on us 5 times. The account couldn't be created initially because our address is not in their data-base (the only one in this block of flats?!). After finally creating an account they said they would send someone within 4 hours. 6 hours passed and when we called again...turns out no account was created.
Did I mention it's February, we're freezing, we can't cook food or have a shower? Not that they care...
