Safe & Protect was selected to install 18 PV panels, a 3-phase inverter and 10kWh of battery storage at the St Boswells Village Hall (which is situated in a conservation area). The Welsh slate roof needed to be refurbished beforehand so S&P arranged a scaffold and coordinated with the roofer to make sure the panel support brackets were correctly installed. The project was funded by grants and S&P showed heroic levels of patience whilst the hall committee waited for the funds to come through. Once the team arrived on site the installation was completed quickly and efficiently, and the system performance so far has exceeded the original estimate - which translates into very important cash savings for the hall. Their prices are very competitive; the team is friendly and helpful; and their standard of work is excellent. Would I use S&P again? You bet I would!

Solar pv panels and battery storage installation. Installation done quickly and efficiently. All staff except Ewan were polite, responsive and helpful. The pv was mistakenly left switched off after installation, which, after initially being blamed on our electricity meter, was discovered and rectified. After installation our system kept tripping, again blamed on us, even though we followed instructions given. Eventually Ewan had this resolved but took a lot of chasing. Now fixed and working. No formal handover to go over the app and system in person. Incorrect documentation showing we'd get an energy meter, which was blamed on office staff. No explanation of 'island mode' meaning, leaving us trying to figure this out with SPEN who weren't clear either - S&P have told us they're too busy to help set this up after having eventually getting approval for this from SPEN. We decided to cancel our ASHP installation with this company after this experience, leaving us very much not trusting this trader. Ewan's response to our Trusted Trader review only validates his tendency to blame the customer and is a misrepresentation of the facts unfortunately.

Having had solar panels install by Safe & Protect I must say that the service received has been excellent from start to finish.
The whole process was very easy and I really do have to commend them on their patience when it came to financial arrangements.
Becky in the office has been great at communicating and nothing is ever a bother should you need to contact her.
The company was recommended to me by a neighbour and I have now passed my recommendation on to another.

I had my panels fitted last year together with a battery storage. The with was done when they said it would and it was very efficient and tidy. Very pleased with them. They also contacted me this year to ask if i wanted a service.

Had an inverter that needed replacing. Replaced with a new one with a ten year guarantee. No hard sell just excellent advice and options given. Service has been excellent very professional. All appointments kept. Engineers were efficient and tidy.

Give these guys a go price was competitive but more importantly service and the experience has been excellent. They were recommended to me and I would recommend them as well.
