In my last minute scramble for Gas for my BBQ at 10pm, I was directed to this location, where i was greeted by a gentle man who quickly swapped my empty can for a new one. once in the shop his lovely wife also greeted me and took payment. Saved me money on the gas, which was much cheaper than the petrol station. I was given a free bottle of wine. The type of service which is rarely seen nowadays. will defo use more

Excellent Service for Gas Grill Newbies!

As a complete novice to using a gas grill, I was so grateful for the help I received from South East London Calor Gas (Flogas). Satheesh was incredibly helpful from start to finish he took the time to understand what I needed, asked for photos of my setup, and guided me step by step to make sure I got the right gas bottle.

His recommendation was spot on: avoid the blue bottle and go for the Patio Gas bottle instead. Not only was the advice accurate, but the pricing was also very fair for the size:

I had the most upmost pleasure and the most fantastic customer service from this shop time and time but this specific time showcased how much I needed to make a review so others appreciate and dedicate time like they do to their service. Satheesh Is my favourite server of all time, even though he had the most frustrating day and well within his rights. His customer service to me was impeccable and always is. The shop is always very well stocked and never running out of what you need, great prices that sometimes beat the market and in the local area are the latest opening shop.

Great customer service, this is mainly a convenience store (food, wine, snacks) but also has a good range of gas bottles, and lots of other last minute things for the BBQ. A few parking bays at the front of the shop. Very friendly helpful staff.

I phoned up early on bank holiday to check they were open. The gentleman told me they would be soon. I said I needed a 907 gas bottle. He said they had those. I got there much later than expected and the lady behind the counter said they were expecting me and they even had the bottle ready. We had a lovely chat and I was even given a gift for my camping trip. What a fantastic local store. What lovely people. I’ll definitely be going there again. Thank you for making a great day!

I had an excellent experience with SELC. From start to finish, their service was outstanding. They were incredibly clear with their communication, making the whole process easy. They are extremely helpful, answering all my questions and ensuring I got exactly what I needed (as I’m a newbie on this) The delivery was impressively fast — my gas bottle arrived much quicker than expected.

Urgently needed an 18kg propane cylinder to power a marooned forklift, called in the evening hoping for a delivery to Battersea but was understandably outside the area. Agreed to collect the cylinder at 8am the following morning, the owner arrived early and immediately did the swap, along with a very unnecessary apology and gift for not being able to deliver, and I was on my way again before 8. The only place I could find within 10 miles that actually had gas in stock, and such excellent service to boot; if I ever need gas like this again, I'll definitely return, highly recommend!
