TO WHOME IT MAY CONCERN,
Worst experience today at RWC Premise. Time 11-11:30, 25/06/2025 There was a security guard who was very rude while having conversation. We had already spoken in reception and has informed us to come to reception and ask for Chandra or Michael. But the Security guard didn't let us in and even informed there is no Chandra and Michael in RWC. If they donot have those person, Was the ghost speaking over the phone. Is this some kind of joke. I think that security guard needs additional professional training how to speak with people.

I recently required assistance with our underfloor heating . We had it installed in 2014.
My wife and I were extremely and pleasantly surprised with the help we received on the telephone by Gary.

It is rare; sadly that is, that one should receive such kindness, professionalism and complete focused attention.
The problem is now solved ( no fault by the company as it was our installer that perhaps missed something all those years ago).

I received a superb service from this professional company. The thermostatic valve in one of my two Reliance thermomix units failed, and my plumber was unfortunately unable to remove it.

I turned to the Lee Halstead and Tony Heath for help. They both went above and beyond the call of duty..

Lee was very approachable and helpful with an in-depth grasp of the technical aspects of my problem. The only solution available to me was to replace the old unit with a new control pack. Despite being out of the 2 year warranty, Tony Heath was extremely reasonable, considerate and empathetic in his approach. He went out of his was to engineer a fair solution leaving me very satisfied and reassured. It’s refreshing in this day and age to engage with a company that still values the individual customer and prioritises customer satisfaction over a new sale.

RWC/John Guest Salaries as of October 2023:

SETTER: £30,000-£35,000 annually working 40 hours per week. RWC recently hired an external company to compare salaries with competitors so expect to receive the absolute minimum.

GENERAL HAND: £10/£10.50 per hour to around £12.50 per hour (most contractors routinely get dismissed so don't expect to reach £12.50). For confirmation a general hand performs duties such as sorting, weighing, materials, computer work on SAP, cleaning, etc... the job may be presented under a different "title"

QUALITY: £12 (with pennies) per hour to £14 (with pennies) per hour.

APPRENTICE: Expect to stay BELOW £11 per hour for 5 years
4th Year: £10.19 per hour
3rd Year: £9.32 per hour
2nd Year: Minimum Wage
1st Year: £8 per hour (with pennies)

For anybody planning a "career" with RWC/John Guest be aware that the company is replacing most of their Arburg machines with automated Engel machines. Setters will only perform bolster/insert changes and load up a pre-set program to start the job. As a result skilled setters will no longer be required, making it easier for the company to hire cheap labour and dismiss them as they please.

Fitted a 22mm stop cap. Came back to job to find it had broke and flooded the kitchen. It had broke on a welded joint. Not happy.
Been using these fittings for years but have heard of this happining from friends in the trade.

Fitting supplied via Toolstation, collet missing, had to proceed with court action to recover damages. RWC lost the fitting-preventing independent review!
