Had a very unpleasant visit, Had gotten an online collect order and when i went to go pick it I had eveeything i needed to claim it but was still refused service. The employee at the counter was extremely dismissive and unhelpful aswell as I asked if he could help me understand why I cant claim my items he simply said "No I cant, if you cant sort it yourself then dont buy it in the first place." Found that very disgusting and if i ever cl.e back into the store when he is there i'll take my money elsewhere as nobody should have to put up with behaviour like that, He made me cancel my order entirely because of how i was spoken too.

Female team member with ipad on shop floor with ponytail was as friendly as a bear with toothache. Felt told off for asking for help. Lad on collection desk was superb!

I was served by a woman called Rachel, short hair, glasses and dog pawprint tattoo on arm. I bought a toastie maker but asked for it to be exchange for another as the box had been opened and contents looked like it was a returned item. She stated that it had been swapped but when looking, She had just replaced the sticker on the box. When I asked for a refund and told her I only wanted a new toastie maker She had a really negative attitude, did not apologise as she had lied and said oh well then. Her colleagues also found the situation amusing as 3 of them were smirking and whispering among themselves at the door area that leads to the back of the store. I felt quite intimidated by thid as I was alone with my young son. I will not be returning again.

Had a faulty ninja air fryer, still under warranty but over the Argos warranty, the lovely assistant that initially served us got the manager. She was very personable and understood how disappointed we were that Argos officially couldn’t exchange. However this was resolved and resulted in an upgrade at a reasonable cost and lots of nectar points! Thankyou to the lovely manager and to Argos for being so helpful!

So, returned a chain saw today, electric. The lady behind the desk said that it has chain oil in and could not take it back. I mentioned that I'd already spent an hour trying to fix it but with a smirk on her face she refused and when I complained about her attitude, she passed me to somebody else. I went outside and emptied the chain oil into three carrier bags inside of each other as it was only a tiny amount. I returned and explained that I'd emptied the oil into some plastic bags and she asked, "you didn't empty it on the grass did you,"? Whaaat!! I was confused and annoyed that she would judge me to be that kind of inconsiderate person. So, not very nice staff I'm afraid. Need to learn how people must feel when they return items and try to be a little kinder and more considerate and certainly never presumptuous, as they were. I'm 65 yrs old and was spoken to disrespectfully. First and last time at Argos in a long time for me. Very dissapointedšŸ˜ž
