Visited on the way back from a short break, and absolutely loved it. The turbines are hidden away in a huge forest, of which the scenery is fantastic. We spent several hours here with our dogs, walking around and being awestruck at just how huge the wind turbines are up close.

It's a relatively easy walk, and all the pathways are well maintained. A little car park is opposite and the drive up to Pen y Cymoedd, is also spectacular.

Looking forward to another long dog walk!

Fantastic views over Rhigos and Pen Pych. The waterfall can be seen as you come further on down the mountain. We popped into the visitors centre to collect a map of the Windfarm to navigate a circular walk around Graig Y Llyn and Llyn Fawr Reservoirs. You can also walk to Rhigos view point for a snack from the van in the summer and enjoy the views over Pen Y Fan, Corn Ddu and Cribyn, but also Hirwaun Reservoir and Sugarloaf in the distance. Fantastic walk .

It was beautiful up there 20 odd years ago. Unsightly turbines & chipping roads right through now.
It's ok for me walking the dogs as no big climbs.
But it does get busy with fair weather walkers after March

A great place to get some exercise via walking or cycling. What's not to love. The great welsh outdoors, wind turbines, forrests. Take a picnic with you (pick up the litter) and enjoy a great sunny day here.
