Customer care non existent. They constantly lie that your damaged product will be collected after supplying endless pictures of faulty item and video each asked for separately after 48 hours per reply. The incompetence is next level. Constant delays so they do not have to refund you. Had claim escalated with PayPal have screenshot all live chats for evidence. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Edited to add after a month of them saying they were arranging collection PayPal told me to return . Which I had to pay for and eventually credited..think in most part due to my constant chasing and updating my PayPal case with further evidence of sheer incompetence. NEVER purchase from this company.

Daals

Faulty goods, endless stress, awful customer service
I ordered a table from Daals which arrived faulty. What followed was weeks of stress, chasing, and evasive responses.

The delivery process is ridiculous . They give you very little notice of when they’ll deliver, and you can’t change the date. If you’re unavailable, tough luck.

It took repeated emails to arrange a collection of the faulty table. They failed to inform me of the collection date - I only found out from a DHL text a few hours before the purported collection. I then had to rush home from work and stay in all evening, only for nobody to turn up. The next day I asked Daals to tell me when collection would take place. Again, no help from customer service on timing. Luckily DHL showed up that afternoon.

Here’s the hypocrisy: Daals charge customers Ā£60 for a missed delivery, but when they miss a collection for which you only received a few hours notice? No apology, no compensation, no ownership of their mistake.

I was told my refund request was ā€œsent to accounts,ā€ but was also warned this could take 14 working days to process. This is outrageous for a large retailer - they take your money instantly but drag their feet returning it.

I’ve repeatedly asked for the issues I experienced to be escalated to management. This was ignored. Nobody confirms this. Nobody takes responsibility. Every response feels deliberately obtuse, designed to frustrate rather than resolve.

Looking at reviews, it’s clear I’m not alone. Many customers describe the same pattern of faulty goods, ignored messages, and endless delays. This is more than bad luck, it’s a systemic issue.

This has been incredibly stressful and time‑consuming. I ordered a table, not weeks of back‑and‑forth emails and uncertainty about whether I’ll ever see my refund.

If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid Daals.

Placed an order through trading name daals. Absolutely awful delivery and customer service. They only delivered on3 of two items ordered and are refusing to credit or redeliver. The photo they say is "proof" of delivery is clearly not taken at the point of delivery, showing tarmac under the box rather than the brick pathway it was delivered to. Decision makers hide behind front line customer service staff and emails and will not call to diecuss. If something goes wrong be prepared to be totally ripped off and treated terribly.

BUYERS BEWARE!! READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE ENGAGING WITH THIS COMPANY!
This has been by far the worst consumer experience of my 37 years. I would offer 3 pieces of advice to all others.

If you want the assurance of a stress and hassle free purchase, don’t take a risk with this company.
Familiar yourself with the small print ā€˜terms’ which they may actively attempt to impose. I attach an extract of these below, for ease of reference.
Our charges for a failed delivery are as follows:
Orders up to £400 - £30
Orders between £400 and £800 - £60
Orders between £800 and £1100 - £80
Orders between £1100 and £1500 - £100
Orders above £1500 - £140
This may be particularly prevalent, as the experience we encountered, highlighted a system which appeared to be deliberatly manipulating occurances of ā€˜failed’ delivery, in order to profiteer from their own failings. Advance warning of a delivery will only occur the afternoon before. We were offered a suitable day via a voicemail message - when we called back to confirm (within 2 hours of the VM), we were told we had been removed from the schedule, as we had missed the permitted confirmation period. The following day, we were offered another slot, when we called back there was no answer, and the item was dispatched regardless. This demonstrated massive inconsistencies in their own policy. We were then told we’d be getting charged. I believe this violates the Consumer Right Act, and shall be challenging this through the relevant authorities, but this shouldn’t really be necessary in this day and age.
It might seem like a good deal at the time, but not when you factor in the potential of the above charges and the inordinate amount of time wasted; I regret the day that I contemplated making that purchase, so think!!

They have their google reviews 'hidden' under their registered company name (Energile Ltd) rather than their trading name- Daals. Look at the difference between the reviews in google (free) and reviews.io and then compare and contrast with trustpilot (companies pay for trustpilot). Ignore all their reviews on truspilot.

They have 2 directors listed on companies house- Mr Hai Du and Mr Hong Xuan

I wont repeat what everyone else here has said- shocking service, once they deliver something- good luck with them doing returns. Tried to take 99.99 (convenient number) off me for 'damage' to a returned sofa, when asked for further evidence--->'sorry, that was a mistake'. Waiting for weeks for them to pick up their damaged dining table.

Looking at the Daal website and reviews we were a little doubtful so paid for our product with a credit card for further protection. We ordered our product on Sunday and had a email saying the product would be delivered on 18th July. To our surprise we had a further email saying the delivery would be today at 07:00. At 07:00 the delivery arrived as stated, the two delivery drivers gave a warm welcome calling me by my first name and then introduced themselves. The delivery drivers carrying our purchase into the house and noticed we had a new carpet and promptly took of there shoes.
As an ex Transport Manager I would have been very PROUD of the way Jack and William conducted themselves being Polite, friendly and professional. I hope that this review is read by the Daal management and Jack and William get the praise they truly deserve.

I ordered a Ā£999.99 3-seater sofa from Daals with Express Delivery (Ā£29.99), expecting it to be delivered to my flat — especially considering it weighed 76kg and I live on the 3rd floor. On 20 May 2025, the courier simply left the box at the building’s communal entrance and refused to bring it up.

There was no clear warning during checkout that ā€œdeliveryā€ stops at the door of the building. I was left to carry a massive box up myself, resulting in physical strain and emotional distress. I have since had to seek medical advice.

Customer service showed no concern and simply said, ā€œIt’s the driver’s discretion.ā€ No refund, no assistance — just told to return the 76kg sofa at my own cost if I wanted a refund.

Absolutely shocking customer service.

I would strongly advise caution before ordering from Daals. I purchased a garden dining table for over £500 in March 2025, but it arrived faulty. Despite providing video evidence of the issue multiple times (as requested by Daals), I have faced months of delays and broken promises.

After weeks of back and forth, Daals agreed to send a replacement and asked me to box up the faulty table for collection. Two months later, the table is still sitting outside my home, uncollected. I have repeatedly been told that either a collection or a refund would be arranged by certain dates, but these promises have not been kept. I am now left without a table and out of pocket by over £500.

Under UK consumer law, customers are entitled to a refund or replacement for faulty goods within a reasonable timeframe. Daals has failed to meet this basic obligation, and their customer service has been unhelpful throughout.

I am now left with no choice but to report them to Trading Standards and seek a chargeback from my bank. This entire situation could have been avoided with fair and timely customer service.

I hope this review helps others make an informed decision on whether to trust Daals quality on both product and service.
