Características destacadas

Superbly organised and very efficiently run. Easy parking and easily identifiable deposit areas. Helpful staff. Just take care when walking from one section to another as not everyone watches where they are going when they have their hands full. Weekends as one would expect are busy. Closes at 4pm each day but suggest arriving no later than 3.30/45.

Usually very impressed but got there at 3.50 today and they were not letting any cars in even though the opening hours are until 4pm.

That was frustrating enough but there should have been someone or a sign near the mini roundabout telling people that they were closing as it was then chaos trying to turn round by the Power League entrance.

I have been using summer's lane recycling centre for years and always had a positive experience. I would like to say thank you to Anthony for his exceptional service from start to finish. He is incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgeable; he always helps me to sort and recycle my materials efficiently and happy to answer questions. His attention to details and positive attitude (no matter if it rains or shines) truly make a difference.
Thank you Summers lane recycling centre for making recycling such a pleasant experience. I will undoubtedly recommend this service to others.

Normally I would give this facility a 4 star rating. However I experienced a quite disturbing confrontation this week between one of the supervisors and a member of the public recycling a washing machine.
The issue boiled down to how the member of public took and received a comment by the supervisor about the washing machine hose and it's destination at the dump.
The ensuing heated argument was worrying because I would not have expected such vitriol and argument back from the supervisor.
If HIS manager had been present, I'm pretty sure he would have been as a minimum disciplined and potentially lost his job.
I am not in any way justifying the action or intention of the member of public but the whole episode could have been far better handled.

Great if you've got a car. If not, it's been carefully sited to be a 15 minute walk from all forms of public transport. That's really difficult to do in North London but they went the extra mile - literally.
