To order and presented showing care and a love for the food. Friendly and professional the staff made the experience that bit better and we will certainly comeback. The location meant it was easy to pop in without a detour. Ample parking with a really well stocked farm shop attached to the cafe. Freshly baked breads, Jams, meats and other tasty items you would expect from a very good farm shop.

Nice place to sit and relax, staff are so friendly after dining you can wander around the farm shop. Then go outside and meet the farms residents like pigs llama and other animals.

We came for the lamb feeding experience at Easter and both my kids (7 and 3) loved it. They also loved the new play area set up in the barn - bale maze and roleplay shop as well as a colouring area. They both completed the Easter trail too. We loved seeing the animals and being able to buy pig food.
The restaurant/cafe is lovely and I’ve had some really tasty meals here. This time we got hot chocolate, coffee and pastries and were served very quickly and also given the table of our choice (with the swings!)
A lovely place to visit, we spent a good few hours here!

£7.25 for a small portion of beans on toast is extortionate! One piece of toast and a small pot of beans with one portion of butter would be around £1.20 at cost! They only brought two of the kids meals out and then 10 minutes later, the third arrived with little apology! I know how many meals I ordered so I would suggest if your team are hard of hearing that you get them to repeat orders back for clarity to avoid upsetting a child that doesn’t get his meal at the same time as the other two! My husband and I were also not impressed with our food. The bread on the bacon sandwich just turned to mush and I actually didn’t like the egg at all. I eat a lot of eggs and was really looking forward to trying this place. I had high hopes for the eggs but they were pale and tasteless. I understand that the site is offering some additional experiences free of charge, however I wasn’t there to benefit from them. If you want a nice quality, value for money food establishment and are not interested in the play barn or animals, I wouldn’t recommend going here!

I don't eat spicy food and the waiter offered to replace the guacamole with fresh avocado. Thank you for the great service!

Nearly £4 for a tea in a paper cup is too much. I love this place, it’s a great stop on our travels up the A1, and the Play Barn is great for our toddler to stretch his legs. However, when I ordered a tea at the Barn cafe I was expecting at least a pot of tea for the price, but when I received your bog standard Yorkshire Tea tea bag in a paper cup I was very disappointed. For comparison, the brownie I purchased cost less than the tea, and a box of 80 Yorkshire Tea tea bags from Tesco costs £3.75.

Please may I suggested revising this price.

Excellent experience at Yolk Farm. Visited as a family of 4 for a break on a long journey. Lamb feeding was lovely. Lee, who was running the lamb feeding, then also did an egg collection activity for our children. It was really interesting and good fun and it was brilliant that he adapted it for our children who are a bit older. We also ate at the restaurant, good breakfasts for all of us. Thanks especially to Lee for making the stop such a positive experience.
