I've been with DHC services for over 15 years and out the blue recieved a letter saying they have cancelled my contract due to arrears, it is paid by direct debit for the amount requested. I've never received a statement or anything suggesting more was owed. The letter doesn't state how much arrears either. This company used to be great but haven't even bothered contacting us for the included yearly service since pre covid. Very unprofessional.

Update: had a reply from Matt at DHC saying his accounts lady said we were in arrears due to a price increase yet my bank statements clearly show the increased amount going out each month. No apology, just accusing me of not paying the correct amount.

Used to be a great company - Been with DHC for over 12 years and the early years were fantastic, now the staff are rude and sometimes nasty! Recently had trouble with the boiler and the one time engineer comes out is to just increase the pressure when at first they wanted my wife to do it over the phone, of course they got the hump when she explained she couldn't do it and they had to come to the property. The fact that the pressure went down twice in a month would suggest a problem - not to DHC, they just wanted to top it up everytime. Then guess what happens - A leak from the central heating system which would explain the drop in pressure. Upon contacting we was told they couldnt help as they weren't in the area... I'm sorry but what were we paying you for? We also phoned within the emergency contact times. Then a guy got in touch and said he would come over as a "favor" but only whilst we was at work I have 3 children and had no water or central heating but hey I guess not having people in the area is a major problem for you guys right? We was once hung up on when an engineer came out to fix our boiler electrics and he blew a fuse and leaving exposed wires in the kitchen, also said they were not in the area. The bad experiences have been in the last 4 years I would say, I have today left them thankfully and got a cheaper (also better) level of cover with a major company. Good riddance to this lot. Except for the secretary who was lovely, no doubt she has the poor job of sorting through these.

"Disappointed" - Took out a service plan over 15yrs ago with DHC for peace of mind paying a monthly direct debit but in reality apart from the occasional call out all that the guys did was service the boiler once a year and were in and out in around 15 minutes which I thought was quick? Throughout the years the plastic controls assembly cover for my Poterton Prima P50 Boiler was broken because of the dismantling process by the engineers and kept falling off when the washing machine underneath was on a spin cycle so I rang the office and asked if they could come out and have a look. The engineer came out and said it needed replacing so took it away and said they would let me know when the new part was in which was fine. Some 3 weeks later I rang the office to see what was happening. The gentleman who answered the phone said it was on order and would be in early next week which again I was fine with but at the end of that week when I still hadn't heard I did a little research on the net and found the part on 'Direct Heating Spares' in Lancashire for £38 with next day delivery. Having this information I rang DHC and again spoke to the same gentlemen who never introduced himself and enquired as to what was happening with the ordered part. He said it had not arrived and because it was a non essential part there wasn't any rush. I said from the conversation last week you said it would be here this week so could he give me an idea when it would arrive. He then said "It will be in when its in" which I felt was rude particularly towards a long standing customer but when I challenged him that I could order the part on line for next day delivery he was even more arrogant and continued to say it will be in when its in and refused to give me any time table so I then said I would have to consider staying with the company if that was his attitude to which the his reply was more or less do what you want! I told him I would be cancelling my direct debit and it was a shame I had already paid March 2018. My concern is that if he couldn't be bothered to spend less than £40 on a replacement part for a paying customer who had been with them a number of years where else is the company trying to save money?

Guy turns up and tries to tell me a boiler that is still for sale is unrepairable because it's too old and cannot get parts even though I had a flow sensor replaced 6 months ago. They obviously are lazy gits and don't want any work. Go elsewhereand save yourself some hassle.

Excellent company to deal with very friendly and efficient service, from picking up the telephone to servicing or completing repairs on my boiler nothing is ever too much trouble
