The gym booking times are ridiculous. I am 15 and enjoy going gym at 6pm. They used to have 6pm available for all weekdays, they then cut it down to 2 days a week then removed it entirely only leaving 3:30 and 4:30 which are quickly fully booked. Along with this Weekend times are no better. They used to offer times up to 12am, however changed this to 11am then only till 10am. I have left parklands due to the booking times as I did not feel valued as a customer. Why should I pay all that money for me not to be able to go? I have since joined a new gym where I feel valued as a customer. Do not go to this gym, especially if you are young.

The gym itself is great. Spacious, not intimidating at all. A good mix of young and old, male and female (everyone welcome). I have one gripe... there always seems to be about half a million pounds worth of cars lined up in the disabled spots but with no disabled badges. Just tonight I pulled up and every disabled spot was taken by lads(not causing trouble) in 4x4s 🤣 with no disabled badges. Besides this, good gym and swimming baths with free parking from 6pm onwards.

I’ve been using Parkland Assistance for a while now and while the facilities themselves are good, the cleanliness is consistently poor. The changing rooms are often dirty — after complaints they are cleaned, but within a week or two the same issues return. Bins outside are frequently overflowing, and there is a real need for regular disinfecting and a thorough clean of the doors, benches, lockers, and other high-traffic areas.

Given the number of adults and children using the facilities daily, it’s surprising that there isn’t a cleaner present throughout the day, as there is at other gyms in Oadby. The current standard of cleanliness is disappointing and really needs urgent improvement.

I’ve been a loyal member of Parklands Leisure Centre due to its convenient location, but I’m extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the changing rooms and toilets. They are often filthy, and the bins are not emptied regularly.

Despite several complaints from myself and other members, nothing seems to change. When the council inspects, they claim everything is in "reasonable condition," which is hard to believe given the state of the facilities.

I really hope management takes these cleanliness issues seriously, as it affects the experience for all members.

A nice place to train and exercise. Lots of classes you can do and staff are all very helpful. If you need to know anything about certain equipment staff are on hand to explain and assist you . There is a pool also which is another place to help keep fit . You can have a snack and a hot drink if you feel peckish after exercising as well .

Absolutely Brilliant my kids loved it they're is lots of space so kids are not always banging into each other they're are plenty of slides spirals that not everyone is trying to get to its great to have a choice. I have a 2 and a 6 year old and they were loving it, climbing walls not that we got to that or had time but find yome they're walls are worth it they are very high and all of them are at different levels of difficulty so gives a good challenge! They have vending machines in the playworld and they're is a cafe that the gym open's so you are able to bring things through. I personally think they're was enough tables and chairs they also had lockers for parents or sibling that really want to get involved, but I do believe if it was really busy we would struggle with seating but as i said it's very spacious lots of places to lean. Gave it a 4 star as to find out alot of the information I had to gi they're or ring as they're was no clear pricing I thought they're was but only if you had an active fitness card. I didnt and paid 14. 52 for 2 children and tbh I thought that was brilliant as not on a school day!

Came here so the kids can explore the soft play area. Been to a few before. This one wasn’t as big but it’s got everything you need

Really cool rock climbing place

Nice sized area for the soft play and everything was clean

Lots of slides and cool things for the kids to go on

Wasn’t packed either as they only let a select amount of people in

Place was nice and cool. Which is what you want when your kids are running round working up a sweat

The lady that was working was super friendly

Even got some popcorn on the way out

Swimming lessons for kids: pros - the pool is large and there are many options for times. Cons - the classes are very large, most teachers seem disinterested and the classes often always start late due to how close the class times are together (5min delay start for a 30min lesson is significant). Classes are not cheap and so unless location is a must it would be worthwhile looking elsewhere. Oh and don't forget your card or they will charge you to enter (which is on top of parking which you have to pay for). It can be tricky to remember a card as many people don't carry a wallet, it would be handy if it could be added via an app.
