We visited this shop 4 times, because the sausages are so amazing! Overall impression tho is the lads that work in this shop are just disinterested, lacking enthusiasm, (polite enough) but just carelessly lazy.

For example, we called a couple of times to get details of products before going into buy and were brushed off as it was too much information over the phone. Really, listing what sausages you had in stock that day (as it changes) was too much effort?
Similar responses on another occasion called.
We weren't expecting to be treated like Royals but as repeat customers, a little effort to be helpful wouldn't go amiss?
We have just spent a summer in Orkney and now touring Highlands and HM Sheridan was quite a contrast to our experiences from other small businesses (not in a good way).
Good job their produce is top notch. Can recommend all their sausages (we tried them all except the plain beef). Old fashioned juicy sausages, beautiful flavours and texture.

Scotch eggs fantastic and so is their venison pate.

Visited on 24th March whilst on holiday in the area.
This is a wonderfull butchers shop. Very well displayed with a wide variety of meat, pies, home made ready meals and accompaniments.
I purchased some pies. They tasted truly delicious. I bought several varieties. These were the best pies that I had ever tasted.
Making purchases from this shop you won't be disappointed.
I would recomend and return when Im next in the area.

All the cafes were closed and we were starving ! We walked by and saw that they had pre-made pies, sausage rolls and other great stuff. We were in a hotel and didn’t have a microwave and asked if they could heat it up.

They did and they were perfectly hot and definitely delicious. Thank you !

Admittedly only tried their Lorne sausage but that was AMAZING (probably best we've ever eaten) and there was so much else that looked delicious that I'm considering another Ballater camping holiday just to sample more of what we saw! Very friendly service also, close to the end of business hours, with no rush!

Visited the butcher 3 times on my trip of 7 days lol. Wonderful helpful and friendly staff. The meat is world class and so are the sausages. We tried every kind and loved them all. The T-bone was amazing and the burgers for the BBQ melt in the mouth. We also bought lots more and nothing disappointed. The people of Ballater are very blessed to have such a world class butcher on their doorstep.

On holiday, staying in Dinnet…. If only we had discovered this place at the start! Treated ourselves to some fillet steaks! Very nice! Such a treat to visit a traditional butchers with such lovely produce! So few butchers around where we are from!
