Brian at Wizard Eco was in charge of the project to upgrade the insulation levels of our flat roof. On our side it was a “something for nothing” deal, which when it involves your home, is certainly something that can make you very nervous.

The roof upgrade was funded through external sources, whether that was the power company or direct govt funding, I’m not entirely sure, as there seem to be several sources available at the moment, (and to be fair was irrelevant on our side).

With Eco Wizard there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Brian himself was the utmost professional. The three different subcontractors that completed each different stage of the process also displayed the utmost professionalism.

The first stage was completed by a qualified surveyor and required a moderately length survey of the house, taking approximately 2 hours. Taking exact measurements with laser rule and providing photographic evidence of various rooms dimensions. During this stage we also had to provide some evidences as to who we were in the form of ID and utility bills (to prove that we were eligible for funding).

The next stage required a couple of trickle fans to be installed with the aim of permanently reducing the humidity of our kitchen and bathroom. This is because the added insulation on the roof could well alter the existing air flow dynamic’s of the house. The electrician that Brian sent, just the like surveyor was a perfect professional. He was hard working, easy to talk to and respectful of our home.

Lastly it was the turn of the roofers, and again this team was top notch. You can judge a crew by the way they treat their weakest members, the apprentices or at least younger members of the team. It was clear from overheard conversations that everyone treated each with other respect and care. Whether it be amongst each other or when talking to us, "please" and "thank you" were no strangers to these guys.

On workmanship, they also were outstanding. Its storm weather here just now and on top of that we are at a significant altitude, so we were getting whacked by the wind and part way through the job some serious rain fall. The team took the extra time at the end of the shifts (3 day job) to make sure that the integrity of the material’s were not compromised, by covering them properly in tarp and properly weighting it down.

In our housing scheme there are multiple properties all having the same job completed, though by many different contractors and administrators. The fit and finish of our roof, is leaps and bounds beyond the vast majority of the roofs we see in our area.

Overall we are extremely happy and that comes down to Brian at Wizard Eco who put in place the right the highly skilled subcontractors to do each of their respective jobs.

Highly recommend, their surveyor Mandy was fantastic and very professional. Their sub contractors who carried out the work were equally good. Very pleased with the work carried out. 300mm insulation to the attic, trickle vents to all my windows and a positive input ventilation system (photo attached). Thanks guys

Very fast and efficient service, other trades men wanted to replace my hardware without even looking at it and would have missed the actual problem. Would recommend 110% saved me a fortune, very professional and knowledgeable staff.

Avoid them. The people who work in the office are nice enough but they never actually keep you up to date with what's happening. Took over 2 months for them to do the job. Sub contractors didn't turn up when they were supposed to, at times they would turn up then go after just an hour to apparently get supplies but never came back. Basically a load of cowboys. We were left with a system we didn't know how to use properly, fans that don't actually work and damaged radiators. The work they have done is of a poor standard

Dreadful service. Constantly had to phone them to get info. Never got back to us, despite promises. No one ever turned up after appointments made and promises of new contact never followed up. Full of promises but never any follow up and when all this explained to them they never had any record of us or previous, numerous, contacts. If this is how they treat you when trying yo sell you something then I dread to think how bad they would be after they'd had your money.
