We contacted Groves Gas about our gas fire that wasnt lighting, after an initial visit a thermo coupler (I think it was that) was diagnosed as faulty. After paying for a new one and another call out fee the engineer found the fire to still be faulty and continue to not light.

We were told that he would need to speak to the manufacturer to discuss potentially needing a new part and we would get a call back.

After Calling them to chase I was informed the person needed was off sick and I would get a call back - fair enough.

After approx a week I called again and chased nad was told the guy was back and I would get a call back from him or the person who answered the phone, I have received nothing.

After about 3 weeks and £300 down I am no further along with having a working gas fire. The service has been pretty bad tbh and I feel my money has been taken and that I'm no longer of interest to them.

I would not recommend this company and would advise you try someone else sadly.

Groves gas have been absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend. They came out on an emergency call out as our boiler wasn’t working and advised that we could either repair or replace. There was no pressure felt from them at all, but we decided to go for a new boiler. They came and fitted it in great time, were so polite, tidy, respectful and have done a great job. There was a small leak that happened during their work, which was dealt with quickly and they sent out decorators asap to sort the water stain too. Thank you SO much everyone, we’re incredibly grateful 🙌🏼

We’ve used Groves gas a couple of times in the last year or so for callouts. Also used for boiler servicing. Each and every time they have been superb. The previous time they came to fix a New Year’s Day leak, and this time something under the sink. I would highly recommended. Excellent service all round

Unfortunately not able to recommend this company. Initially enquired about some work that we required to our home on 26 February 2024. Groves Gas received all of the necessary photographs and promised to show them to an engineer when one became available in the office and said they would be in touch on 29 February 2024. We chased via email on 25 March 2024. We received no response. We then made several phone calls chasing the company, we were told we would receive a call back. At writing, it’s 4 April 2024 and we have not had a call back. Terrible organisation and communication.

I originally contacted Groves Gas about servicing my boiler - excellent process throughout and very happy with the work. Whilst Craig was looking at the boiler he also had a quick look at an issue with a poorly draining toilet - it turned out the toilet needed to be raised slightly on a plinth to get the correct angle on the pipework. I sourced a Plinth online and arranged for Groves to fit it. Billy did all the work to an incredibly high standard, prompt, efficient and very tidy - all at a great price. Won't go anywhere else for any plumbing work from now on, First Class!
