Good travelodge. Clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. Good value and service. Free carpark. Only downside is very closely to A12 ,can hear slight rumble of the traffic. Keep the windows closed and it's not a problem.

Room was clean and tidy, but the furniture’s definitely seen better days. One of the chairs was damaged and could really do with sorting. Bathroom light was flickering the whole time which wasn’t ideal. I didn’t bother reporting it as I was only there for the night, but still, you'd expect that to be picked up.||No air con, and the room was roasting. Had to sleep with the window open, which wouldn’t have been too bad if it wasn’t right next to a busy dual carriageway. Constant road noise made it hard to get any proper sleep. They did provide a fan, which helped a bit, but it only goes so far.||Also worth knowing – no plugs by the bed for charging phones, and the main light switch is by the front door. The switches by the bed only do the little reading lights, so don’t forget to turn everything off before you climb in.||The phrase “you get what you pay for” comes to mind, although at £115 a night, that’s a bit steep for what you actually get.

Of the several Travelodges in the region this proved the best value for money but it was noisy with constant traffic roar from the A12 which was probably to be expected adjacent to such a busy road but I had to keep the windows closed. Despite this I did have a very comfortable night's sleep as one grew accustomed to the sound of traffic. I do rate it with 5 stars as it, in itself, was excellent.

Good travelodge. Clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. An older travelodge as they still have a proper key and a bath tub. Free carpark. Only downside is you can hear the slight rumble of the A12. Easy to find south bound,stay on A12 and turn off at service station (Starbucks). North bound , turn off just past the petrol stations that are opposite each other. Then go under A12 then on to A12 south bound. Good place for overnight stay. Would use again.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! I booked a room to rest after a long drive, but the highway right outside my room made sleep impossible. I couldn't even get an hour of rest. To make matters worse, the reception didn't help with a room change, and when I asked for earplugs, they said they weren't available. Terrible experience, wouldn't recommend.

This is next to a reasonably busy road so you will experience some roadside noise. The hotel is more or an older style Travelodge, the staff were lovely, there is a Starbucks and petrol station on the same site. The room was clean and warm but only 3 single plug sockets which all had something in them such as tv, kettle and heater so there had to be unplugged for phone charging. ||Although basic is served it purpose and with a short distance to both Ipswich and Colchester we were able to attend our event safely.

Had a great stay with some friends and family recently!|Nice to see they have got the car park all looking more organised, visiting regularly through work and will continue to do so :)|The staff are thoughtful especially the receptionist sherry and the lovely Scot’s lady on housekeeping!|Thoroughly recommended

Handy placement but the oddest car parking layout. The floors of the hotel are broken and they often feel like you are going to fall through. Even the bathroom floor in room 15 had dips in it.
