Cannot recommend Steve enough for the work he carried out for us. We wanted an extra socket in the garage and then to go through the garage and link up with our summer house where he installed more sockets and a link to connect outside garden lights. We had a detailed plan of the work required. He arrived on time and the work was as agreed. He did a full safety check and even left the place cleaner than when he started.

The CCTV installation was done very quickly. We had very little disruption to our routine and the installation was neat and tidy. What little mess that was created was cleaned up before Steve left and I know that if I need and help and advice on using the system I can contact him for support. A good job well done.

Steve has carried out work on two occasions for us; one was installing and supplying some recessed lights in both our lounge and hallway, and the second a smaller job of sorting out an issue we had with one of our outside lights. On both occasions, our initial contact was responded to extremely quickly and dates/times given for Steve to come and give a quote/do the work. He arrived on time for appointments made, and even though literally just a couple of mins late for the most recent, his partner texted just before the agreed time, to advise he was on his way. Steve is very professional and friendly and carried out the work to a very high standard. Back up guarantees/paperwork followed very promptly. We have no hesitation in recommending Oakey & Son Ltd, and will definitely be calling them the next time we need any electrical work done.

Steve was really professional in his approach to my job with a prompt reply to my initial quote request and then the job it self. He arrived on time (which is a huge thing for me), was really easy to talk to and discuss any issues or questions I had. He managed to move my kitchen sockets down the wall with minimal disruption which means I don't have a huge plastering job to do. We found Steve by a local recommendation and are so pleased we did. We were putting in a new kitchen and Steve came to visit to help us work out what electrical work needed to be done and then, when we were ready, he came back to complete the work. However, when we weren't ready to do it all at once, he patiently came back a second time to finish the job.

He was fantastic. Helpful, understanding our needs, quick and extremely tidy! Everything was clearly communicated by email and we knew exactly what each element of the work would cost. We would certainly be happy to recommend him and will use him again if and when we need any more electrical work done.
