It's important to note that the station isn't usually open to the public.

As part of the National Heritage Open Days the pumping station has been open on a Saturday in September for the last two years. (I believe, pre-covid, they had their own open days, but the National Heritage days will probably continue for the foreseeable future.)

Considering that it's a working pumping station, the interior equipment is in stunning condition, painted and clean. It's obviously a labour of love for someone.

During the open days there's demonstrations of the pumps working and a guided walk around the local area giving interesting details of the history of the drains and rivers of the area.
