⚠️ Important Warning for Future Applicants

I am sharing my recent experience with the MRes program application for September 2025 so that other students are aware.

I received a conditional offer from the university and was led to believe that my place was secure once I met the conditions. Acting in good faith, I paid the tuition fees in full and arranged all financial support, including personal and travel preparations.

Only now — months later — I have been informed that my place is no longer available due to “high volume of applications” and that I am being invited to apply for the September 2026 intake instead.

This raises serious concerns:

Why issue a conditional offer if seats are not guaranteed?

Why accept tuition fees before confirming that conditions are met and a seat is secured?

Why wait until after students have invested time, money, and effort before informing them?

I believe future applicants deserve transparency so they can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary financial and emotional loss. If you are considering applying, insist on written confirmation of your seat and avoid paying tuition until all conditions are cleared.

I hope my experience prevents others from going through the same situations.

I guess I should’ve read the reviews before also applying as 99% are bad are actually similar to mine.
I’m currently a student here
My admissions process was appalling
It’s the first university I’ve seen that doesn’t not support low income households as most universities do
I asked for support to be able to enrol onto my programme as I couldn’t pay my first installation before Sfe made an instalment I was not aware I had to make it I had thought the process would much like be an undergraduate loan where by the tuition is paid directly to the university
When I approached the university as some universities can offer payment plans etc
I was told that the university doesn’t not support low income household students I was told they would defer my place and also to defer it until I could make the payment
There was no consideration of my circumstances … so much for closing the gap in education for low income households
I had to borrow to just be able to make my first installation so that I could make the payment and then Sfe would make the first instalment
The enrollment process alone was so bad
I couldn’t make the payment using the online portal
It kept crushing
I had to email the admission team 9 times before they finally supported me with an alternative to make the tuition payment
And it’s now time to make another payment and I’m experiencing the same issues and I kid you not the support once again is taking forever and it doesn’t help they have deadlines you need to make to be able to access your next module material. I have never seen such a university with such bad applications or systems. I’ve also never seen such staff that couldn’t care less about a students wellbeing and education. The way he been treated and the lack of support is beyond me. I will honest be trying my best to make a complaint and escalate it because this university needs to be moved into change.

Such a bad experience with this university that I dropped out and went elsewhere. The lack of help and communication is appalling especially for phd and master students. But they've zero problem hounding you for fees... which isn't it your control its student finance. Go elsewhere is my recommendation x

AVOID APPLYING TO THIS UNIVERSITY!

The worst university in the entire UK! Very RUDE International Admissions Team, very SLOW admission process, called more than 10time in 7weeks, the International Admissions Team behaved awfully. Had to chase them again n again, but the response remained same for 4weeks (We are reviewing your application).

I can literally write 5pages of feedback, describing how many times I called, how many ways I requested, how much money I lost by placing International Calls, how many times they HUNG UP the call in my face, how many times they repeated the same (reviewing) to me and all that.

Most frustrated time ever, most disappointed experience ever, most unpleasant experience ever.

To all my fellow International Students:

AVOID APPLYING TO THIS UNIVERSITY!

fix your website. When I try to look at your list of courses it keeps telling me I need to change my cookies to see the? But then when I click that specific button that says I need to change my cookies it doesn't work, it just doesn't take me anywhere.
