We had exhaust from the boiler chute coming back into the house after a contractor left the cap off during a “safety check”. SGN responded to the issue and arrived within 30 minutes. The guy spotted it within seconds and let me fix it, and spoke us through what it being off meant for the air quality and also answered questions. Absolutely incredible service and although it was a small fix, it saved us a lot of worrying and I feel as if I learnt something too! Would recommend.

We had a gas leak I turned the gas off and called the emergency Number. We had an engineer within 3/4 of an hour and he found the leak and eventually got the meter and pipe work moved outside. The team were brilliant and dug up the drive but within a a few days all put back to original condition. Can’t fault SGN for great service. Thanks.

I had to call out an SGN engineer today as none of my gas appliances were working. Within one hour of making the call the engineer had been and replaced the regulator on the meter. He made sure all my appliances were working before he left. What a brilliant service. Thank you 😊

Guys on the ground equipped to carry out all work from open trench excavation/moling to making connection at building envelope. Also pick up their mobile phones to help customers when they can.

Openreach and Scottish Water management should be going on training days with these guys.

This company are at our building at the moment doing some work renewing gas pipes it’s like they have took over our building and our houses the noise that they make each morning shouting at each other talking about what they do and do t do that’s there private life we just don’t want to hear any of it which can’t be helped if they are shouting it all each morning that they arrive out side and they use the basement underneath the building which my home is on top of that basement and when they are shouting at each other that noise travels straight up to our home as it does echos we hear every thing .
Every morning we are woke up at 7.30 we have to close the back windows cause of the noise.
And now they are moving our gas meter from the bathroom to outside and what a mess they walked away and left my bathroom floor in a mess I only had just wash all my floor and they pulled all my cleaning things out from underneath my sink cupboard and never put any thing back just walked of said nothing I was left to clean up there mess and put every thing back that they had move and made the mess not very professional work men are they I just wish they would hurry up and go they have to remember this is other people’s homes not there own homes so give other people a thought when your coming into there homes to do any kind of work don’t just think you can do what ever you want because your doing a job

Came outta 21.30 left 23.10. Gas leak fixed In January but it's now June and the the new gas machine has still not been registered its Scottish power who's having the issue sent them emails picture call after call still not done but it was sgn who didn't register this dam machine dealing with s.p is a joke

If it's an emergency gas escape they don't need to give you notice to dig a hole. But it should never be left open for months. Call them to get it sorted instead of using this to air your grievance.
