I have used A R Ruchards for both skips and aggregates on multiple occasions over the last 12 months or so. Every interaction has been a pleasant one. Skips have been delivered and collected on time once a day has been agreed. Drivers call ahead when requested and I find all the delivery drivers to be polite, professional and accommodating. Even the IVR message on the phone is a pleasant one. Thank you all for the great service.

1) Expensive
2) Didnt turn up to collect the skip on the agreed date. (Arranged a specific date due to access / moved several cars etc)
3) No one bothered to inform me.
4) Had to ring up to chase - no apologies
5) Now had to rearrange my plans for bank holiday Monday - annoyed.

Never used this company but they are the worse! At approx 2:45pm today they were picking up a skip round the corner from me. They completely blocked the road so I couldn't get pass. I waited for a while but the driver just ignored me. I bleeped him and asked him to move back so I could pass. His response was to start waving him arms at me and him pointing to the pavement indicating for me to drive on the pavement instead. You should be ashamed of yourselves as a company, wanting people to potentially damage their cars to get pass you and your drivers refusing other people access to the public road. Awful company.

Used AR Richards to hire a couple of skips. Really good service (they were very accommodating on the phone and the driver was very helpful), super efficient (the skip was literally bang on time to the minute) and the prices reasonable. Highly recommended 👌🏻

I have never used this company but my experience of them would be 0 stars as their delivery driver, on 27th Dec 2024 did not pay due diligence when delivering a skip to my next door neighbour as he managed to take out all the overhead cables for OpenReach, dislodging the pole at the same time. Needless to say, our street now have no phone lines or internet until mid Jan 2025 due to the level of damage caused by ineptitude as the driver did not use his ability to check he had clearance.. A R Richards’ response is that the cables were hanging low. Well I can tell you that I was working in my office at the time and saw the cables snap, to then look out my window and see the skip truck “arms” well above the height of the post! As a disabled worker, working from home who has the conveniences of aids that rely on voice commands through the internet, as well as internet access being imperative for my job role, I am not only significantly unhappy but in total dismay at the response from A R Richards!
