Dropped my MGB GT V8 off at Rick’s place for a power steering conversion. Picked the car up a few days later. Rick took me for a test drive explaining the work he had done and how he went about it. Where everything was situated and how to make adjustments if needed. The mechanisms and electrics are tucked away nicely but still easy to access if necessary.

I can honestly say after all the thousands of £s I’ve spent on that car this is by far the best upgrade I could’ve done. I was getting to the stage where driving it wasn’t enjoyable. It’s completely changed to driving experience for the better. I would highly recommend Rick’s work and I will be passing his details on to my mates who own classic cars.

10/10 for the work performed and the difference it’s made to my driving experience.

Rick supplied and installed the EPS system brilliantly. My 1975 Mgbgt v8 which is a genuine factory V8 steered like a car from 1975. Now it steers like a modern car. It’s so easy to manoeuvre and yet the steering feel and feedback at higher speeds is sensational it’s so much better than before. If you are thinking about this upgrade to your classic do not hesitate you will not regret it.

If you’re looking for someone to fit power steering to your classic car, then look no further than Rick Birchall at EASYSTEER, based in Euxton nr. Chorley.
I had p s fitted by Rick a couple of weeks ago and can describe the result as amazing. For those who think it may affect the ‘feel’, it also comes with a control to reduce the effectiveness to zero, so just dial in the degree of assistance required.
It doesn’t stop there with Rick, he is very thorough and takes everything in his stride.
He diagnosed, and repaired, an issue with my steering box, sending videos of progress along the way. And always with a smile.

Rick knows his stuff!!! I researched a source of EPAS for months to fit to my MG RV8. I looked at kits and options for installation. After many hours of reading reviews I decided to head for Easy Steer just outside Chorley. He is in such demand that I booked my slot 4 months in advance and set out my plans for getting up there and turning it in to a mini break to Liverpool and leave the car with Rick to do his magic. There is a train station just down the road with regular trains to Liverpool or Blackpool. Everything was explained about what was going to be done when I dropped it off and when I picked up the following afternoon was shown what work was done and a demonstration drive for fine adjustments and to make sure I was happy. Needless to say I was and it has transformed the car and with the optional GPS speed sensitive module I had fitted I can forget it’s there. Fitting EPAS is not a cheap option and you need to be sure that you select a quality product installed by a knowledgeable company of which Easy Steer is very one. Kits are fine but it’s no substitute for somebody that knows what they’re doing and taking pride in their work.

Since I first contacted Rick about fitting power-steering to the Saxo he has been utterly professional, cheerful and free with his advice.

On competition tyres the car was incredibly difficult to work through chicanes and tight hairpins. Now we can concentrate on competitive driving rather than just heaving the wheel about!👍

I installed the GPS controller module to my Corsa B EPAS having previously used a speed sensitive version and I can say that it has completely transformed the driving experience. I can't recommend it highly enough.
