I have had a large 28 panel home installation completed today and the whole experience has been top notch from the scaffolding contractors, Charlie, Aaron and Gary were professional quick and friendly 1st class, to the solar installers Tom, Chris, Luke and Ricky who are probably unbeatable in terms of knowledge, advice and dealing with any issues for a large installation, we moved 4 panels that did not fit to another roof and added further 4. Calvin the install manager even visited and gave advice. John the salesperson was a good guy. Special mention to Jack Parr who throughout has been my go to contact with system engineering advice and solutions. If I was starting a solar energy company there are a few people here who would be approached!

Impeccable customer service. Leo came to see us to help us understand if solar would work for us and provide us a quote. We signed up then and there and within 2 weeks we were fully installed. Great after install customer service too, it took us a couple of weeks to get setup with octopus and Leo helped us have our batteries charge overnight at the cheap rate so we could use battery power in the early mornings…. I live the Fox app, still enjoy seeing when I’ve saved some money!!

One more step towards sustainability
We have installed the Solar Panels and Battery Storage in our property on 16th Feb 2024. After doing research and quotes from multiple installers, finally made decision to go with Fresh Electrical Solar.

Ravi had conducted initial survey and gave us in-depth knowledge of the Solar systems and it's benefits. Also, Leo managed to provide the quick response on our queries which helped us to make decision quicker.
Scaffolding was done prior to one day of installation. Harry and Tom came by 8am and installed the systems promptly and later, solar system started running by 12pm.
Highly recommended this installer if you would like to experience the solar systems. No issues observed so far.

Improvement: Most of the time, I didn't manage to connect with Customer helpdesk as call weren't answered. Hence need to rely on Ravi/Leo to get further documentations needed after installation.

I had paid a deposit and made an appointment. They did not show up, and did not give notice before or reason after. I was in contact with them and they said that they would send me information, but never did. In the end I had to cancel the contract and get a refund as they were not able to fulfil the order. With so many companies offering solar, would avoid these as they are unprofessional and waste time.

Edit to add: on every call I mention I had paid through the ‘Solar together’ scheme. They not once said that was an issue. They knew I was through that scheme when I made the appointment. The first time they have said the appointment was cancelled was the response to this review. They did not contact me to say it was cancelled, and after the appointment time, they did not tell me their cancellation was the reason for the no show.

Was originally quoted by Fresh Electrical over 18 months ago but decided that the financial outlay wouldn't be worth it; 18 months later and a 50% electricity price hike and it was time to think again, so I contacted Allen the sales person who had previously visited and asked for a re-quote along with more battery storage; my expectation were a big price hike and long delays given how much more attractive solar will now be and also supply issues across all trades, however the price increase wasn't too bad and the lead time sooner than expected, so we went ahead.

Installation wasn't the smoothest as the team arrived on the appointed day without everything they needed for the full install, given the popularity and supply and shipping issues I wasn't overly surprised but happy to wait the extra week for everything to come in and be installed all at once.

The team were extremely polite and hard working and above all did a very neat and tidy job, I was concerned about how the panels would affect the look of our house and these are better than most that I have seen and we are fortunate not to need them on the front of the house, the batteries and inverter have been installed in the loft and I couldn't be happier with the care taken.

I'm a little bit addicted to the app which shows how much power is being generated, this peaked at nearly 6.5kW one afternoon from 16 panels, the 10.6kW battery storage lasts all evening and in our first full week we only spent £18 with our electricity supplier and used £43 from the solar, based on this I calculate that we will have recovered our costs in less than 6 years. (update - first month generated 848kWh, about £250)

Despite the install delay I am very happy to award 5 stars as the end result has exceeded expectations. I have already recommended Fresh Electrical to a friend who has also placed an order.

The salesman Stacey Moore was excellent and really vouched for the product. He was really friendly and helpful. The fact that they also supply Costco was really reassuring and was testament to the quality of the panels. They seem to be cost effective as they produce a decent amount of electricity even on dull days which is what I wanted. The price was also reasonable compared to other companies. It wasn’t the cheapest but they offered good services and reassurance which helped.

The downside was the workers and the mess they left. They left all the packaging in the garden and made a mess in and around the worksite including helping themselves to our furniture and leaving dirty tissues which I wasn’t impressed with. They shouldn’t have been in any rooms or sitting on any of the furniture in their work gear especially without asking. There was also a delay in finishing as they took an extra day to do the work despite only stating one day for solar panel fitting.

Brilliant from start to finish. Leo was great, answering my questions and always available (even sending a text if he was busy). Had the install carried out by a 3 man team, really professional, knowledgeable and polite. Just wish I had done it sooner! Now self sufficient and can use the simple app to save and make money. 5 star from me!

Ordered a battery through Costco, installation date scheduled but less than a week before they EMAIL me to say sorry, due to a shortage we can't install until January!!!! This is clearly a problem with their supply only given I have now secured one for a similar price elsewhere and 4 other local suppliers all have stock! What is worse is they are still advertising them as a stocked item with Costco knowing full well they can't fulfil the order for at least 2 months. The customer service is also non-existent as when I mentioned how it was upsetting to receive that news on an email, you could almost hear Calvin shrug without a care. If you want customer service, go elsewhere. If you want a Tesla Powerwall, go elsewhere. If you want someone to call you if there is an issue, go elsewhere.
