Just had my Transit Custom crew cab back from Altitude Roofs after they have completed a full camper conversion including a pop roof. It’s absolutely perfect, I couldn’t be happier with it. From the start of the project to the finished article these guys have been brilliant throughout. Taking time to talk through all options with me in the initial planning stage. Not trying to sell me anything I didn’t need & trying to understand what I actually wanted at the end of the build. They are very professional, very friendly and down to earth. Exceptional Service and Product from Altitude Roofs
I recently had a pop-up roof installed by Altitude Roofs on my SWB Mercedes Vito and I am absolutely delighted with the results. I can honestly say there are not many companies around that offer this level of service and quality.

From the very start, the team was helpful and friendly during the entire ordering and booking process. When it came to the installation, they were extremely efficient and professional. They managed to get the entire job done in a single day, with no dramas and no disappointments.

The installation itself was completed to an impeccable standard. Despite the challenge of a few of the original roof fixing bolts being sheared off, the team handled it expertly.

The final product is truly outstanding. The quality of the roof is exceptional—it has completely transformed the van. All the fittings are stainless steel, the canvas is top quality and fits perfectly, and the roof bars and rails look incredibly smart, complementing the overall look of the roof. Everything works exactly as it should.

My wife and I have recently had our VW T6 fully converted by Natalie, Ray and crew at Altitude Roofs. All were outstanding, through initial planning and then the conversion itself.
A full explanation of how to use everything on the van was given including even a video.
We have used the van and love it!
The roof itself is of excellent quality and is easy to use. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I recently had a roof fitted on my 2022 Fiat Scudo. I felt very lucky to find Altitude and traveled all the way from Scotland to have a roof manufactured and properly fitted for my van rather than the many generic ones that seem designed solely for VWs.

From start to finish, my experience with Altitude has been 5-star. And I have actually been a difficult customer at times! Honestly, that they’ve endured my enquiries as part of their aftercare is a real mark of professionalism and commitment to customer service and brand reputation.

On that note, I do highly recommend reading the full FAQs on the website. I missed the one about how your aerial/antenna may be relocated and lose signal. On reflection, I can see how this obviously happens with most van roofs. The nuisance that can happen is losing GPS signal, as even Apple CarPlay delegates location to the van GPS rather than the phone. As a result, I have since been using my phone unattached to my van’s stereo/screen, which obstructs my use of cup storage on the dash.

Natalie has gone out of her way to help me resolve this, advising on parts to purchase and how to fit. Unfortunately for me van, it’s not something I can fit on my own, so I’ve had to call around to find a local car electrics specialist and book in for the new antenna to be fitted. Basically, the practical tip here is (1) to manage expectations, (2) to prepare by having a windscreen/dash mount for your phone upon picking up your van, and (3) to identify a local auto electrics / stereo specialist in advance so you can get it sorted quickly if you wish.

Ultimately, these are learnings along the way of converting a van to a camper. The benefits of having an Altitude roof far outweigh any of these quirky things that may arise afterward. (Meanwhile, Natalie also helped me sort a solution for charging my Jackery battery from the solar panel.) It’s sturdy, well made, fitted with care, and fit for purpose. Everyone at Altitude was kind and friendly on the day of the appointment. I had great confidence I’d made the right choice to drive 8 hours to get my roof there. And I’ll certainly be back in the future for any add-ons or new roofs — hopefully they’ll forgive my frustrations as I learned the ins and outs of the aerial situation.

Cannot fault anything about these guys! We were recommended them by multiple people and they really do live up to the reviews. Friends and professional team, talked us through the weird old electrics we had in our van prior to roof fitting, helped us make a plan for our next steps and made sure we understood how to use and care for the roof before leaving.
