Gave them my bike to repair. Had it for almost 6 months, no progress, no phonecall. Went to pick it up and told them I just ordered a new bike since they couldn't repair my current. Manager (I think he was) spent the next half an hour reprimanding me and trying to make me feel stupid for my choice of bike which I had already bought. This included quizzing me in a very grilling and condescending way. Yes, they come across as very knowledgeable on electric bikes - but the fact that they spent so long with my bike with no contact or progress then was so rude to me when I gave up on waiting and collected it, this left a horrible taste in my mouth. I've not bought a bike from them (which is probably why he was so rude) so I cannot comment on their products, but from my experience they were extremely disrespectful and disorganised.

Management have really missed the point here. I did not go to the shop to ask for opinions or advice, nor did I give any indication that I was expecting them to service this new bike. The problem wasn't their disapproval with my personal decision, it was the fact that their slander and criticism was completely unsolicited. I just went there to pick up my bike (which per the last phonecall I had, I was told they'd keep trying to reach out to the supplier) and make friendly conversation which turned out to be not so friendly. Their knowledge isn't the problem, it's their attitude.

Excellent service. We tried electric bikes for the first time today. Can recommend this store for anyone who wants to go for a trip in Brighton and surrounding areas on a bike. We could go very far! We were a little uncertain about what route to take, but can recommend going to rottingdean. The countryside is really beautiful, but dress well as it can get pretty windy. Don't plan to eat along the beach, the seagulls will steal your food. We also tried going west along the beachfront but that way has got much more traffic beyond the lagoon (if I am wrong or you've got any tips please correct me). Happy biking!

I had a really disappointing experience with AllBikes Electric. I tried to order an Estarli e-bike through them using my work’s Cycle to Work scheme (Vivup), and it turned into a drawn-out, stressful process. I went in knowing what I wanted but was pushed towards a more expensive model that wasn’t right for my needs, and when I realised this later, they refused to let me change the order—even with long delays and no delivery timeline.

They took a £500 cash deposit and made it very difficult to get it back, essentially holding me hostage to the order despite not receiving the product and having no updates/timeframe. Vivup finally managed to cancel the order for me once I got my deposit back after months of chasing, stress and poor communications from them. I waited over 3 months and ended up with no bike at all. Wouldn’t recommend based on my experience.

So in my curiosity over 'green transport' (to help address climate change a little!) I signed up for the council's free ebike trial.

What a fantastic experience!

I had amazing weather and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. Hills were defeated by acceleration and a little peddle power! Amazing!

Thanks to the council, especially thanks to allbikeselectric, Brighton - they couldn't have been more helpful, passionate and knowledgeable about ebikes! I'll definitely consider a day rental again, but I would also consider this a serious option going forward as part of a transport pool perhaps?

I rented a Pedego Classic Cruiser from All Bikes Electric today, and the service from start to finish was excellent. The manger of the store was friendly and helpful in going through the forms and logistical aspects of the rental, and the assistant, Yuri, did a thorough job of explaining the bike, with both making me feel at ease. I'd easily recommend this shop for anyone looking to rent an e-bike in Brighton.
