I am not sure it is a scam or not.

We hired this company to do some electrical work, but we have some weird problems with them.

21/12/2024 we confirm to hire them to work.

26/12/2024 The director Shuan asked for an £800 deposit by their company's email.

28/12/2024 He sent a personal bank account, that isn't his name.

30/12/2024 I confirmed with them the bank account and why is a personal account, and then said That's our updated bank details.

31/12/2024 I paid £800 deposit to them, then no one replied for a few days.

4/1/2025 They sent me the receipt and asked me to pay more £500 for the material deposit. And sent me another personal account and said it was their supplier account. Then I don't accept this and asking for the £800 refund.

5/1/2025 another director Dan reply me, that they could make a refund of the £800 to me.

6/1/2025 Shuan called us and said after 21/12/2024, all emails were not sent by him, and their email address got hacked. And they will not refund £800 to us, because their email had been hacked, so they haven't got this £800, they just can refund half to us only.
