Due to poor weather in the morning, we did not pre book our trip, we just turned up after lunch and hired a self drive boat straight away. We booked for 2 hours, which I'm pleased we did, an hour won't have been enough. We were advised by staff that we could travel up the lake or down the lake for an hour easily then return..we decided to go to the left when leaving the pier. I am pleased we did as not too many boats up that way . Our teenage boys loved it, had a go at driving the boat. Our dog enjoyed it too. The views were amazing. We would definitely recommend this trip. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

Very reasonable priced for a lovely evening boat trip on the lake. We paid £25 for an hour for 2 people, other places were charging double that. The views were gorgeous and the service we recieved was impeccable. 🙂

Friendly company who are great value compared to the competition nearby. I hired a boat for 2 hours for around £50, the other providers wanted nearly £80 for the same time.

I loved every minute but of course it helps when the weather is on side 😊

Absolutely brilliant! Couldn’t fault this at all. We hired the Fantail just for the two of us and our wee dog and it was excellent! Probably helped by the weather.

The staff were great, booking process was super easy, price was incredible for the hour. It’s dog friendly and you can take your own drinks and snacks on board. We wanted to book another hour as soon as we got off!

If we come to Windermere again we will 100% do this again.

Very smooth hire and helpful staff. We went with the cheapest option, the Pioneer, which can hold up to five people - or, in our case, four people and two dogs. All the boats are speed limited to keep you under the Windermere speed limit and an alarm, equipped with GPS, prevents you from landing the boat anywhere or (more helpfully) going near any hidden rocks (which are also marked off with red buoys). It's worth noting that the outboard engines on the Pioneer boats are pretty noisy and there's no cover but they're a good size and it don't feel cramped. We booked for two hours, during which we ambled our way up to Ambleside and then took a more direct route back to make up a bit of time. All in all a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

It’s the largest lake in England’s Lake District. But in my opinion, it’s not just the biggest in terms of size—it’s also the richest in attractions. The neighboring villages are just as charming. It’s a true natural wonder, nestled among mountains and surrounded by lovely little villages. The lake itself is so vast and deep blue that it almost feels like the sea. It’s definitely a must-visit destination.

A brilliant 2 hours on lake winder'mere'.
Easy to book online, we chose the mystic boat and it was perfect, very clean and all staff were very professional and friendly.
The kids loved driving the boat too. The kiosk is not hard to miss.
Not anything to do with the company but do allow extra time to find parking. Took us 45mins as the national trust field is only open till 8pm so take that into mind when booking later boats.

What a wonderful experience. Firstly the customer service was excellent, I had a last minute change to my booking and they managed to accommodate my request. I hired the fantail boat, it was absolutely fantastic and family enjoyed it. Relaxing ride, able to connect to Bluetooth on your phone so you can enjoy music whilst enjoying the views. Had the boat for an hour, next time will be booking for 2 because it was that good. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us on the day. Highly recommend 🙂
