Had the misfortune of using scan and go for the first time with the hope of making shopping speedier and more efficient. Apart from the scanner being a bit slow, it was fine until checkout. Then got flagged for an 'accuracy' check. After scanning over 10 items, dried fruit was picked up as not being scanned, even though I'm sure I had amended the quantity to 3 boxes. Anyway..that incurred a full rescan of a shopping that cost £90. First two assistants very unhelpful..treating you like a criminal. No self awareness of the embarrassment things like this cause to the customer. Anyway Lorna was nice and her understanding attitude actually meant the rest of my day wasn't spoiled. I will never use scan and go again. No wonder it's underused.

One of the biggest Asda Store with lots of facilities ( Photo Cake Machines , Hot daily and rotisseries, Pizza Counter , bakery, Photo Booth, Instant Photo Print , Travel money service , ATM cash machines etc ) it also accommodate a huge café and restaurant . Over all surely you are going to find almost everything what you are looking for if not maybe an alternative.
A big bonus there is plenty of parking space here so there is no need to worry and wheelchair access is relatively easy as well .
The store is clean and well Organised, shelves are always neat tidy and full of products easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for .
Staff on site are very knowledgeable friendly and helpful .

Been an Asda shopper for 44 years. I started shopping in the Blantyre store in 1981. Hamilton opened and I've been there ever since, that was until today. What a shambles!!! Shelves half empty with empty boxes lying everywhere. No staff in attendance except for kids trying their best to fulfill online orders from severely depleted stock. The whole store just seemed poor and shabby. I bought my usual shampoo and contitioner that was on a 'Roll Back' from £7 each to £4.64 each only to find when i got home and checked my receipt, they had charged £14 for both.
The two brothers who bought this company have.....NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Sorry Adsa but i'll be shopping elswhere from now on.
What a shame.

18 th march 2025 went Asda every week usually check receipt before leaving shop got home put things away checked receipt was charged fr extra things fuming told go customer service tomorrow AVE been loyal customer always Wen big shop to much hurry to get stuff through yet go self service n it's item not bagged am taking this higher if am not refunded fr items been charged fr a did not receive a know the lady that served me and will point her out a am so 😭 but all u get is go customer services not happy customer name Louise Sinclair from Hamilton a will be down tomorrow 19th and want to see who is at the top ie manager so 😡

It's very good apart from the disabled parking, lots of disabled spaces but unfortunately not monitored and other cars regularly park in the disabled spaces and don't have/or display a blue badge. Seems no obvious deterrent on this abuse which is unfortunately very common now. Puts me off going and I've been using Morrisons car park recently. Don't expect things to improve though hence the wan star ⭐

Tried to return an Amazon parcel to Hamilton Store. Sign stated that printer was not working and store could not accept returns. I visited the customer service desk and was advised that printer had been out of use for 2 weeks and that unsure when this would be repaired. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I was advised to go to Asda Blantyre to send my return. I did go to Asda Blantyre and was assisted by a very helpful team member who quickly accepted my return using a role of barcodes and an scanner app. All manual no printer required.!!! Great job Asda Blantyre. !! Can't Asda Hamilton do the same?

At the moment,this is my favourite Asda!I like the way,the inside of the building is laid out,the range of stuff on offer,and the toilets being on the ground floor.Also its near Strathclyde Country Park.My only complaint?It's a pity the cash machines aren't at the front of the building,instead of being around a corner,out of eyesight of the local shopper!
