Mum and I went into this store today to get our Christmas Veg for both of us and used one trolley.
We were rudely approached by a member of staff on the shop floor almost telling us off for picking up too much veg. 6 of each veg offer so well under for both of us anyway.
For a start we didn't ask for help and knew what we were doing, splitting at the till.
We didn't have a very good experience in store after that and decided to do the rest of our cupboard goods shopping elsewhere.
I feel this lady in particular needs some serious customer training asap as lacking in how to speak to your customers and keep them coming back to your store in the future.

I am pleased to be able to give a full FIVE STAR REVIEW based on the excellent experience of being dealt with by Nicola on the Customer Service desk. She has such a confident winning smile and easy, yet professional manner she is a real ambassador for the company. Well done management for spotting her skill set and allocating her to such a key role in the business.

Having scored the store 5 stars previously because of the exemplary customer received from a member of staff, it is a great disappointment to have to reduce it to one star because of the the inadequate performance of the management in responding to a complaint which identified a risk of injury to a customer or mamber of staff.
The dangerous situation in the disabled toilets at the store.

The placement of the toilet roll dispenser makes it extremely difficult to reach from a sitting position. If the user is perfectly fit, athletic or double jointed it might be possible but anyone with limited mobility would find it very difficult.
This situation was reported to a duty manager in October last year and still it shows no sign of it being addressed.
I attach pictures which although worth a thousand words, a visit to the facilities and trial run would, I believe drive the message home.

Previous five star visit.

I was in the store yesterday day shopping for somebody else and couldn't find on the shelves what they asked for.

I phoned them to ask about an alternative when a young lady, who was working in the store, overheard my conversation and waved to attract my attention. She pointed to the item on a shelf a mear 4 foot away.
She was alert to the customers, keen to help and empathetic enough not to make me feel like a idiot.

Only one till open so a huge queue! Went to self service the first till frozen so we had to take everything off and re load on another till. The coupons on Asda rewards app not working. Staff standing around talking why can't they open another checkout?

Your self checkout staff are miserable as hell unless they are mates with you. Sort them out.

Friendly staff, great choice. But if you shop early around 8.am shelves are not stacked and many items still to be put out.

Found it disgusting that no toilets were available not even disabled resulting in my wife being taken ill & people of all ages not being catered for when there is a portaloo hire company less than 1 mile away find it very disgusting for a food store await your response with interest

A bit out of our way but found this to be a lovely new store initially until our most recent visit yesterday evening when we got to the checkouts to find all were closed with the exception of the SELF SERVICE AREA. As we had a trolley full of food we asked the 2 staff stood by self serve if a checkout till could be opened was told no use the self serve as there was no checkout with assistance after 8pm. This was now 8.07pm and we were told to use self serve and for us to manually scan our items ourself whilst 2 members of staff stood watching. We required assistance a couple of times as some items wouldn't scan. We ended up with 5 full bags of food balancing on the packing area. We expressed our concern that this wasn't good customer service and told new policy contact head office. Then asked for store manager. A lady called Penny appeared after we had initially been told there was no manager on that evening! Penny advised yes this was policy but given the amount of shopping we had we could of asked for a till to be opened. Immediately we said we had asked and was told by your staff they wouldn't do that but that hadn't stopped them standing and watching us struggling to pack our bags. Dunno what the hells going on with this branch or if this is across the board but this is not good customer service. Your staff need a talking to and this is not good for business shame on you as you're obviously not thinking about people's jobs.
