Very expensive service (including high mgmt and admin fees and 4x£600 inspection and biological recording - whatever that is).
They are supposed to cover 5 areas of grass on our estate but seem to only actively manage 1.5 of them with the rest deemed meadow land and therefore not being cut.
What they do cut is left very long and is currently about a foot high and we fear losing our dog in it if it gets much longer!
Charges are supposed to be based on last year but we don't recall anything like the 9 grass cuts they refer to - more like 4 or 5.

We live on a development of 50 houses in Shifnal, on Wadlow Drive..Betts have cut our grass 4 times so far in 2024, it’s now August. Us residents pay over £22,000 a year between us! Terrible service very bad value for our money. We wish we didn’t have them as our grass cutters as they say we are an Ecological Company! “We are not gardeners” They keep saying. Why have they been sold our green open space by Red Row then? We want to get away from Betts, but, we are trapped in this situation. We could employ 2 part time local gardeners to cut our grass every week and cut our hedgerows for less than £22k!!! Betts need to start doing what we are all paying £22,000 a year for, not just to cut our grass a few times a year, the grass and open spaces look an absolute mess, over grown and un loved. Come on Betts come and cut Wadlow Drive grass and hedges regularly!

This company is a joke!! The pictures on their website show beautifully landscaped and maintained green space. Where we live it is a total mess with diseased trees and overgrown grass and when you contact them you just get waffle about ecological spaces 😡😡. Basically they like to do little work for high charges. I am still waiting for a reply to my last email requesting a site visit to discuss the issues face to face. Probably will never happen. Redrow should be ashamed of letting these people take over maintenance of their sites especially as people have paid a lot of money for their properties

Grass on my estate looks like it was cut by a child. The number of bins on green areas has been reduce to 2. There are approximately 5000 people on the estate. Lots of kids use the parks/play areas. Kids = litter. The nearest bin to my house is now at least a 10 minute walk. At least 2 bins have been removed in the last 3 months. So therefore creating more litter and a greater impact on the local eco system. I think there are 7 play areas on the whole estate. 2 bins, one of which is in the CoOp car park so probably managed by other contractors. This service is very poor.... yet they keep chasing for their annual payment. They seem to forget we are the customers, and with any contractors... poor service should mean you pay until the issues are resolved.
I hope you read this Betts Estates and consider raising you game.

Poor service. Poor maintenance. Deserves minus stars!!!
Each year they leave more areas untouched resulting in long brown grass and weeds - that is their idea of a meadow! Betts please do not reply that you are a reputable company and to contact you. I have done so numerous times and you simply don't listen! If you actually created a meadow as your website photos show, the residents here would have no complaints, but it is simply left like wasteland!

This company that proclaims itself to be reputable is actually a joke. Its extremely unfortunate new homebuyers are locked into a contract with this unfortunate company. They can claim to be xyz but the proof is in the actual work they do and as far as I can see its diabolical! They can't even produce work schedules and give willy nilly dates they have possibly come. Their charges are extortionate for what they can "show" as work done. Don't try and pull the wool over people's eyes.

KEEP CLEAR this company will hit you with bills from every angle. Our estate has already had a price increase of 80% in first year for a company that is now doing less work on the estate. Sadly we will have the need to get lawyers involved now.
