I use this tip regularly and have always had very good and polite interactions with the staff. As I am disabled there is always someone willing to help me empty the car and carry anything heavy. Nathan in particular stands out for his cheery and helpful personality. Bridie in the recycling shop is also always especially friendly and helpful, but all the staff are great.

Great tip and the majority of the staff are brilliant. It's a shame about the new opening times though, because they effectively mean that anyone who works a typical 9-5 can only go on weekends. Maybe a mid-week late closure - say 6pm on Wednesday - would be reasonable?

Absolutely useless, wouldn't take broken wood , all the old ones stuck in their ways , one youngish one wearing a cap he's ok .
The gaffer ..... useless as well

Helpful chaps spacious site unlike stonegravels which is now far too small for chesterfieds expanding population is horrendous with a notice stating trade only between 8-30 & 9-30 for those of us who don't know this which is far too small to read for the without getting out of the car and walking up close to read it.

Went yesterday with lots of old chopped up decking and the young guy working there went above and beyond to help me unload and throw into the skip. He was very professional and polite. He deserves a huge thank you from Fiesta car driver 👍👍👍 Only this lot to cut up and take in a couple of days...🙄😀 17/6/24 made another visit today different young guy helped me dispose of the rest of the decking, again so helpful, professional and polite, massive thanks to him 👍👍👍
