We have been a regular customer of Booker, purchasing close to £7,000 worth of stock every month. However, a recent delivery has raised serious concerns about their professionalism and accountability.

During a recent delivery, the driver left all the items outside our fire exit door without getting any signature or even checking with our staff — then just left. Once we checked the items, we realized that five bottles of Smirnoff vodka were missing from the order.

It’s now been nearly two weeks and despite calling multiple times, no one has taken any responsibility or provided a proper response. The only thing we’ve been told is that the driver “said he delivered everything,” which is unacceptable and not our problem. It is Booker’s responsibility to ensure that deliveries are properly handled, signed for, and verified on site.

We even offered to provide CCTV footage showing the driver’s behavior, but this has been completely ignored. Instead of resolving the issue or refunding the missing items, the final response we received was a threat to close our account — which is both shocking and disappointing, especially given our loyalty and volume of business.

On top of that, the level of customer service has been extremely disappointing — unhelpful, dismissive, and lacking any sense of accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored, despite being a long-standing, high-volume customer. This experience has not only caused frustration but has genuinely made us reconsider continuing our business with Booker. No business should make loyal customers feel this disregarded and unheard.

We expect a full refund or replacement of the missing stock and a clear review of their delivery policies before we consider continuing business.

I am right now at the Booker Brighton and it huge and absolutely enormous number products and of course lots of staffs standing at the checkout area but thought they would be very efficient and helpful but they were so useless and the way they speak in front of us was absolutely terrible and the young guy ( Connor ) was handling the product was absolutely awful! When I looked at him and the way he responded was even worse! We use Eastbourne Booker but unfortunately they do not stock much of the items we want and they don’t do one day or weekly promotions, so that we have to go to Brighton Booker but some of the staff’s evasive behaviour would put everyone off!! I was about to leave the trolley and go to Bestway Cash & carry few minutes away! Hope the management will take action on this issue immediately.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful. Special shoutout to the young lady stationed by the exit door—an absolute ray of sunshine. Chatting with her is always a delight, and she never fails to brighten my day with her warm smile and friendly conversation

Bit of a strange experience today. I don’t usually come here on a Monday and what a disaster it was. No trolleys for customers so instead we had to get them from the car park, bring them to the trolley bay and then go around the other side to receive it to only find some people waiting there for trolleys and having to fight them off lol. It was pretty busy in their defence but there was a couple of workers having a right old chin wag about their weekend. Later on I gave way to a member of staff who was lugging a trolley full of stuff to only be ignored and not thanked. Talk about mismanagement. Rude behaviour and poor attitude from most of the staff today. I have to give a shout out to Zoe and Sam. Always happy, smiley and happy to help. Otherwise it would’ve been worded a little differently. Avoid Mondays if you can.
