I’ve genuinely never wanted to pull my hair out of my head more since I’ve joined with boost. Why on earth do I have to become an engineer everytime my gas or electricity gets low. Such a rubbish company and honestly the biggest headache in life.

Terrible service. They never keep their word.
First they sent an engineer to have a look at the gas meter, the engineer came in and said the gas meter need to be upgraded to smart. He he will come back another day to change the meter. he never came back.
Months passed and we called them again.
they said they to send an engineer to sort out the the gas meter but the engineer never turned up for 2 days in a row.
This is waste of time and energy. Not boosting enegery unfortunately.
I scrolled down the customer reviews and they never apologise or reply to these customers who are frustrated and vetting their anger and frustration here.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SWITCH TO THIS COMPANY!! It is horrendous! The staff are either not trained or cannot be bothered to do their jobs properly! Like another reviewer i had debt that wasnt mine that i had to pay and didnt get it sorted until smart meters were put in! They always tell you one thing and do another e.g an appointment to get smart meters (moved in a few months back with no smart meters) Twice I was told appointments had been booked for both and a gas engineer never showed! On my notes the appointments hadn't been booked. Their policy is you will get £30 compensation if an engineer doesn't show and 2 months later I'm still talking to people trying to get my compensation purely because its what they owe me. And yet, as always, its not on my notes! This company is absolutely ridiculous. I can't even count how many problems I've had with them and even wanting to make a complaint is an issue! I feel sorry for anyone starting out with this company because all they do is cause problems. Will be switching as soon as I can

If I could put minus 5 stars I would. From moving in and just the simple act of opening an account was torcher. They completely messed my account up and have had me paying off the gas debt of the previous tenant for a year now and I complain bur they NEVER get back. I've nearly paid this debt off now at 71p a day for almost a year. A debt which isn't mine. The level of English they speak over the phone is shocking. Webchat is your best option but good luck. If you move into a property supplied by boost smart meters then change supplier immediately.

The worst company that I have ever had to deal with.

Every time we pay them, we receive a text confirming the payment, but nothing changes on our end. So each and every time we pay we have to waste time in the middle of a work day to call them.

The wait times are long, the customer service staff are rude and calls are often drop without any reason or warning.

Our electric meter doesn't work at all and yet they have refused to send anyone to fix it. We have no way of checking how much credit they think we have left. There is no record of how many of our past payments have registered on their end. It's impossible to leave the company because no one will accept our prepayment meter and nobody is willing to change the meter out.

I would willingly pay thousands of pounds just to leave this service, because the amount of time, money and sanity they are costing us is simply not worth it.

I write this message in my cold unheated house, because yet another gas payment hasn't registered on my meter and there is no way to contact boost on a Sunday.

Pay as you go isn’t a bad thing, but their systems don’t work well. Get the pay point app, the black one, and it’s not too bad. Also, use the webchat rather than phone. Crazy stuff happens though. They claimed falsely I would not let them in to read the meter and charged me £50. They said I had to get a firm to check the meter or pay £125. When I’d spent many hours to finally get through to them to book it, they just said it was a mistake. Now they’ve said I’m £1468 in debt to them. How can I be? It’s prepayment. If I don’t pay it cuts off. They’ve no idea what they’re doing.

Had terrible service from these people , been proved ive a faulty meter since november 2023 , 3 missed appointments and refused to send compensation for not turning up to appointment . Contacted energy obudsman and got compensation for missed appointments now . If engineer fails to show its £30 compensation , if you dont get it within 10days its another £30 . However despite obudsman involved now and another appointment made with boost...boost has cancelled yet again !! How are these people still aloud to operate !!!! 😡. But anyone thats having problems please contact energy obudsman

Shambles of a company, website is useless and their chatbot is beyond words. Tried to call their customer services to find out what happened to the 66 pound discount from October, wanted to make sure that all details are up-to-date for the voucher to make it safely to my home address. My first call simply got dropped after waiting for 20 minutes. I had more success on my second attempt, but the customer service lady (with really poor English) simply told me that it's all the Royal Mail's fault and hanged up the phone! I guess I won't see the voucher for November either then... I have dealt with some really poor customer service before (energy companies, mobile service providers and broadband), but Boost has topped them all!
