We had an array of solar panels installed earlier this year by Boston Renewables. John Hudson was very helpful in explaining the advantages and disadvantages before we decided to go ahead. John was very thorough in obtaining planning permission and sorting out all the requirements prior to starting the project.
The panels were installed efficiently and we now have a much reduced electriity bill and a reasonably rewarding payment for the powert exported to the grid.

William’s Den is a unique, family-friendly adventure play visitor attraction that has been designed from the ground up to offer responsible and sustainable play that helps families connect with nature. From the appointment of specialist architects through to the repurposing of farm buildings for our restaurant, to our use of biomass boilers for heating, recycled rainwater for loos, hemp blocks in the walls, wood fibre insulation, wood wool boards, every part of Williams’s Den has been built to create a place that re-uses, recycles and fills us up instead of taking away.
The natural progression was to install solar panels to reduce our energy costs yet further. We therefore engaged the services and expertise of Boston Renewables who helped us every step of the way – from concept, through planning and design, to install and commissioning. We now have a solar array that has reduced our electricity bill by 60% meaning more of our operation will be powered by this sustainable form of energy for years to come.
The team from Boston Renewables were professional and efficient, taking the strain and stress away from us as owners. We are delighted with the outcome and would recommend Boston when considering a solar installation

We had a 44kWp ground mounted system installed in March 2023. From the initial consultation, through Ground Works, Installation and Commissioning the whole process was nothing less than completely professional. Everything was well communicated and promises on pricing and timing were kept. Even better, shortly after completion when we did have an unexpected problem, an engineer was onsite the same day and the issue was immediately rectified. 9 months on, the system is performing faultlessly and the gross production has outperformed the prediction. We couldn't really ask for more and would fully recommend Boston Renewables to anyone looking at a Solar Installation.
