It was weird. It was like all of the staff on the floor were in on some bizarre joke.

So here’s the story.

I went in twice and asked people for the colour paint known as “off white”. I spoke to four different people. None of whom knew of this staple of a colour in the painting world. They suggested Farrow and Ball. Maybe they I had the name wrong… off white has been a colour sold by b and q for years.
They made me feel ridiculous! Like I was going crackers! Well guys at the bloody Burgess Hill B&Q. Jokes on you. Picture attached of B&Q selling flipping off white!!!!

I called Eastbourne B&Q about a lawnmower, the only one they had was the one on show, the sales man offered us it at a £20 discount but once checked the petrol cap was missing. We then tried Burgess Hill, they had one on display, we were refused it, they had non in stock. We saw the manager, she said they weren’t allowed to sell it. I ask what is the point of having something on display when you have no stock. I think you should teach the staff how to help or to serve.

Had some OSB cut to size, walked in, young lady really helpful, the fella who cut the board was very helpful and fast, Conner on the checkout was a little ray of sunshine on a Sunday. Thanks

Made a delivery to this store in my artic. Turned up at 05:00am and they were ready to tip me which I thought was amazing! Didn't take to long. About an hour to tip a double decker. Tight 180 to turn round but other than that, good store to deliver too.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at B&Q in Burgess Hill. I purchased some turf that was on sale and specifically asked the staff member at the till why it was reduced. He assured me there was nothing wrong with it and that the discount was simply to make more space in the store.

After traveling 30 minutes home, we started laying the turf only to find out from my gardener that it was completely dead. The more we unrolled, the worse it got, with dark brown turf rolls that were clearly unusable. My gardener recommended calling the store for compensation, as some companies offer this when the product is in such poor condition.

I called the Burgess Hill branch and spoke to James, the manager/team leader. Unfortunately, he was completely unhelpful and said there was nothing they could do.

My advice to anyone thinking of buying turf from B&Q is to thoroughly check it before purchasing, even if it means creating a mess in the store. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I will think twice before shopping here again.

I cannot praise Emily, Wayne and Steve enough. They have gone above and beyond in helping me and my family. All of their colleagues are so helpful and friendly. Fantastic store! Nothing is ever too much trouble...thank you!

Not always the best selection of stock and so many things have sellotaped up boxes, be warned of these I’m pretty sure if something is returned they don’t check them and just put them back on the shelves as I’ve bought a couple of things that once I got them home (and out of the sellotaped up box) there were bits missing or broken. I use it for convenience, but it’s not a particularly good B&Q. Staff are nice though!

Robert who works there is awesome. He was so helpful and professional. Overall the store is good place to get all your DIY bits. Not huge but a decent size.
