I recently visited B&Q for some home improvement supplies, and I have to say, it was one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the store was understaffed. I had to wait over 20 minutes just to get assistance, and when I finally did, the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful.
Overall, my experience with B&Q was highly unsatisfactory. The lack of customer service, and inefficient checkout process made what should have been a simple shopping trip into a stressful ordeal. I will definitely be looking IKEA or elsewhere for my home improvement needs in the future.

I ordered an item online from B&Q Exeter, but when I arrived, they brought out a completely different item (a blue one) that was nothing like what I had ordered. The manager, Nigel, claimed they had never stocked the product I ordered and offered no apology or solution. Instead, I was asked to check the shelves myself to see if anything similar was available. To make matters worse, I had to pay more for a replacement product since they wouldn’t match the original price.

The lack of sympathy and poor customer service from management was shocking. However, I must commend Steven, the young staff member who initially assisted me—he was polite and genuinely helpful. Sadly, his efforts were overshadowed by the overall poor experience.

Absolutely great customer service from a gentleman called Phil K today, helped us find information on multiple extractor fans and narrowed it down to pick one that suited best our requirements, then retrieved the actual product from the back (as it wasn't on the shelf) for us and read through the instructions to make sure it was exactly what we needed before we purchased it and a genuinely nice guy too, a massive credit to b and q Exeter

This is a BIG B&Q … with lots of very cool & practical ranges that are often not held in many other stores. Whilst today’s paint team might not have been as knowledgable as other visits - the Customer Service team where great & helped with a price match. Good store. Worth the extra miles when you need to get something special.
